ok so im planning on going for my full bike licence and the bike im after is late 80's early 90's fzr600 (with the twin round headlights). Reason being is i like the older styling, what do they handle like? Are they a good bike? Reliable? My first thought was an r6 but they are to new for my likeing and at around £2k, alot of money to stack. Any information on the fzr would be grea thanks

Hey all. I just bought a 1995 FZR600 and I've noticed that the clutch tends to slip when you get on the throttle harder in 3,4,5 gear. If you're accelerating normally and fast it's fine but when you throw it down it slips. I just got the oil changed today (Yamalube 20w-50) and it's still slipping. The clutch cable is set up to engage pretty late so I'm going to adjust the cable to engage midway and give it some slack. The bike needs a new fork seal and with this clutch thing, I'm assuming wheelies were done with this bike. It might just be the weather too. When I test drove it, it was in the 60's but I'm not sure how hard I pushed the bike. Today I rode it all over …

i pulled my 98 FZR600 out today after sitting in the garage for the winter and after i finally got it started i noticed it was missing on one cylinder. i checked all the sparkplug wires for spark and they were fine. i put some new gas in with seafoam and ran the bike at high rpm for a while and still number 3 cylinder isn't firing. i figured out it was number 3 by taking the airbox off and spraying some starting fluid at each carb while it was running. i sprayed each carb individually and the idle wasn't affected when i sprayed number 3. my question is, what should i try next? i figured i'd get some new spark plugs since it's cheap. but if that doesn't work wha…

Help !!!! I need a favor. I think my frame is bent. I need the distance from the top front of the neck to the large main cross brace above the swing arm bolt. (appx. 1.25 diameter tube). Should be around 27 13/16 (27.8125) inches or 706.4375 mm. Went to test fit the tank cover and does not fit with the upper fairing bracket on. Top of frame appears to be short above the engine. Installed engine cradle and they are low and forward of the rear bolt holes.

I have recently purchased a FZR600R and am wanting to improve its bottom end by getting a chain and sprocket kit that runs 45/14 rather than the stndard 45/15. Does anyone know who makes them and where I can get one from? Thanks

mate has just bought a fzr600r race bike with a rod poking through the crank case .... not very nice, when we are replacing the engine can a thundercat engine be bolted straight in (physically they are identical) but it's the wiring loom and carbs exhaust etc..... i dont see there being much of a problem but any helpl would be appreciated. p.s. the broke engine has a tuned head, although i haven't lifted the head yet to see where the piston is burried thanks Crow
