i was out with a few friends the other day and as i turned all my electronics shut off on me, i pulled over and turned the key to try and start the bike again as i did i got nothing....just nothing at all no oil light no front lights i was confused, we tested the batt, and it was fine . we pop started the bike and it seems to run like crap i couldnt stop or it would stall . when i flicked the highbeam switch the bike would wake up for a second or two and shut off and when i put it back to low beam it would turn on but sound like poo and run at 40 mph with full open throttle, help me please i cant live without my baby and do miss it so.....

hi, does anyone have any idea where I can get stainless downpipes / full system for a 1991 FZR600 Genesis? It's impossible! And on another matter, will parts for any FZR600 (91 - 94) fit as they all look exactly the same? :?

I have a 18 inch rear wheel that is 4 inch wide. I can't find what bearings fit as the bearings I've ordered only fit in the 3.5 inch rim I have. I want the 4 inch rim as Ive just had it resprayed Any help on what bearings is much appreciated Regards Dan

hey guys, new here! so hi my friend has a fz6r genisus and is need of help and hes old so he doesnt have the net.... he has a G reg bike, and its in superb condition! but hes noticed a like 'tingy' rattle when its idle and he revs it, its not a massive or nosie nose, and he said it stops after about 2-3rpm (it may still be there when over that but he said he cant here it), its recently had the carb floats rebalanced and he doesnt think its a pistol cause it fires up and runs perfect, he doesnt think its a valuve cause its not the engine tapping or out, the noise is still there if its in gear and the clutch is in or out, so hes at a bit of a lose, hes pritty goo…

Hi Everyone, Just found the forum and thought I'd post - I have just aquired a 1989 FZR600 US Model after a 5 yr lay off from bikes (usual story- kids, house etc), and I could do with any tips, info etc regarding this model. One thing I have noticed is my model has a square shaped red button between the speedo & rev counter - Pressing it appears to do nothing at all. Does anyone know what it is or what its supposed to do?? (The Haynes manual doesnt mention it as far as I can see) Cheers Twiggyman

Hi guys, First time poster here. I have recently been offered an FZR 600 for a very good price from a friend of mine, it's a lovely bike, the only problem I have is with the rear fairing. It's not the most attractive of rear ends and I was wondering If anyone knows of any replacement rear end fairing that it can be swapped with? Thanks very much. Rob

Hi, Prospective new member here, depending on the replies to the question heheheh I have been offered a 1989 FZR 600 by a neighbor of mine for a very paltry sum that i'm considering turning into a track bike. It's been sitting for quite some time as the previous owner blew the engine, then got a replacement (with no history) but never fitted it. Anything specific I should look into in the "new" engine?? How reliable are the FZR 600's motors? I know i'm gonna have to clean carbs, replace fork seals, gaskets, sprokets, chain etc but i'm a bit wary of an engine with absolutely no history..... thanks!

I just bought an FZR 600. The guy I bought it from modified the body for racing and it has no turn signals. Today I went and bought flush mount turn signals that will mount just fine on the body, and I wanted to try and wire them myself. They are two lead wires not three lead (I think i said that right, they are not the kind that stay on all the time if that helps). I know that i have to wire them each to the left/right toggle switch, and then wire the toggle switch to the signal flasher, that to the 10amp fuse, etc. I don't have the bike in front of me right now, but what potential problems am I looking at for instance if the signal flasher was taken off, or if none…

HI, i have a fzr 600 with an old motor.Now i would like to know if is possible to put an yzf 750 motor in my bike. :lol: is it possible?

Last night I changed the plugs in my FZR 600. I tried to start it this morning and it wouldn't start. I killed the battery trying to start it so I hooked up my charger. I finally got it to start running but it only ran for a minute before it stalled. I could not restart it. The RPMs were very low when it was running. Usually (with choke on) it revs up after a few seconds. But it ran around 1K rpms for about 60 seconds. I had the bike out a couple weeks ago and it ran fine. I'm positive I have the wires in the right positions. I reseated them this morning but it didn't change anything. I have it on a float charger today and I'll try to start it tonight when I get home. Can anyone tell me where to get stainless steel downpipes for my FZR (95 model)? The ones on my bike broke again yesterday, don't think they can take much more welding to hold them together! Used to see them regularly on ebay but can't find them now I need some. Thanks Dai

hi, just had to have my sprocket welded on nice ! so now looking for a new engine. i have a 95 fzr600r 4jh i wanted to know could any engine fzr600 engine go in or does it have to be the 4jh. could any one tell me what makes the 600r different.probably sound like a idiot bot not a total muppet. thanks dave

Hi all I have just got back to bikes after a break of 3 yrs I got a wee 1995 FZR 600r which I am really enjoying and I was wondering if there is anyone can tell me if a grab rail for a pre 93 fzr would fit my fzr. and also if a jack up kit would fit both. Hi, Can anyone help...I've been offered a FZR 750 1988 for about £1500 (the exhaust is not original) and was wondering what they are like as bikes? I'm looking for a modern classic, but there doesn't seem to be many about, and most sites point you towards a gsxr 750 early model. Can you let me know whether they are particularly reliable, perform well and what I should look out for? Appreciate all your help andy

any fzr400 owners out there that i can come to for opinons, help and advices? particularly on r6 shock for 400, where can i get adaptor for it and from what year r6 shock can fit? and what the different from the original 400 and r6 shock.

Hi peeps, this is my first post (as opposed to last !), so HI to everyone. I was wondering if anyone would know if the rear wheel from a FZR 1000 genesis, which is 18 inch, can easily be replaced with a 17 incher, from a Ace or something that allows 180 section tyres. I just want to give myself more choice with rubber as I fully intend to turn to track biking next year. I know a 998cc FZR isn't the tool of choice but I was hoping to get to embarace a few 'trackies' on a bike as old as they are !! Any constructive critisizm or advise greatly received. :hug
