Hi guys/girls, im new to this forum but i have been browsing over the past few days when my bike when wrong a few weeks ago and it seem i could get some advise from you all, i will give as much information as i can and it would be great to get some feed back. So my brother used to own the bike and the piston blew so i got a rebore, new piston and rings and gaskets, put it all together and it started fine, but the powervalve wouldnt kick in, so i toyed around with the servo and looked up in the haynes manual if everything was working fine, to which it was. Just bought a dt125r 1998 s reg and want to know if you can tweak the powervalve and/or change the exhuast to fully release its power Many thanks in advance J

DT125 Lights Im just wondering if there is any way i can change my lights to run from the battery than running from the engine.... at tickover you can hardlly see the lights :shock: Any help appreciated jon

we're just issued this mc,DT125 O1W, when i tried to start the engine,it starts but with alot of smoke coming from the pipe. and also it doesn,t have idle, you need to always throttle it to keep the engine running. what is wrong with this bike?

Hi guys just signed up to see if you could help me a little, basicly my dt125 has been standing for over a year now so yesturday i decided to give it all a good clean up treat it to a nice new spark plug, new oil & some fresh petrol. At first i tryed to bump start it and it nearly started but it didnt so i left the battery on charge over night and put the battery on the bike this morning, pushed the start button and the engine just kept turning over and over and over until bang not sure what it was but i think it was a back fire. been trying different things all day with the bike but no luck, everytime i take the plug out its soaking wet & you get a strong smell…

I have recently bought a Dt125 R 2001 2 stroke, which I am having trouble with. When I bought the bike it was in a pretty poor condition but the engine seemed to run ok. I have been running the bike daily and it had really poor acceleration and bottoms out at 55 mph I have checked the air filter, changed the oil, clutch plate and cable and also fitted the correct spark plug (as some fool was using the wrong one). Also changed the oil settings, as it was really drinking oil and checked the boost valve settings. The bike seems to run better and is quicker, but I still don't think its as quick as it should be and still bottoming out at less than 60mph A friend of mine see…

Anyone know were to get a set of side panels and a tank for a 2005 DT125 X/SM? Ive checked everywere for these but cant find anything.

any one got a good barrel and piston for a 1989 dt125r ? or any idea if any later than1992 barrels will fit ,mine is seized solid ,it is a bike i bought like it

when people say you need to get a pre 91 cdi to derestrict th bike, does this mean that a 1991 cdi is restricted or derestricted? sorry about this just a bit confused. Ross

Hi All New here. I had my DT stolen from my garden a few days ago and it was recovered today. It now has no headlight fairing, petrol tank cap, mirrors, number plate or working key barrel, stupid little thugs. :cry: . They have cut the 6 wires leading from the key barrel as well as smashed the key slot with probably a hammer and screw driver. Also took the time to whack the petrol tank many times so it now has mucho paint missing. The bike starts up from the kick start but none of the lights are working. :cry: Is it really so easy to start the DT engine just by cutting those wires? Is it possible to use supermotard weels on a dt125r? any tips where i can buy?

Hello Got a DT125X when you try to start it in the morning its fine however when the engine has warmed up abit and you turn it off and try to start it again you can hear the starter turning over but it doesn’t want to start if you keep trying it will start after about 4 times Any idea what this might be? Hi, im new to the forum Ive recently bought a 1985 DT50 MX, brilliant condition but all standard. I am not yet 16 but the old owner told me that it does 45mph which is ok but i wish to improve it Ive seen these Hy-Tec Reed Valves they're only £10, and promise to boost acceleration, are they as good as they say and are they hard to fit? Any other sugestions to upgrade the bike im all ears Thanks Sam

Recently completed me wife's Birthday Bike. She is a huge Duke fan. I purchased this YZF1000R about 3 weeks ago. Once I found a painter, the fun started. I stripped the plastics off and took them to him and told him of my theme. I think he did a fantastic job. While down I took care of the mechanical stuff, tune up and fluids. I also polished the frame while it was naked. That was a job. Here are some pics. The first is the before pic.
