Hi All, This is my first post, hope some one can help! I recently started my bike after the winter, it now has developed a misfire on cylinders 1 & 2, this has only occurred after the recent cold spell in November/December. I have also changed the plugs and air filter. I have checked the following: 1) Plug spark gap, earthed all four plugs individually, spark strong and blue on all plugs. 2) HT coils have been checked using a multimeter for continuity and were intact, haven't checked resistance. 3) Fuel filters cleaned and not blocked. 4) Throttle position sensor (TPS) is fine, bike idles at 1200 rpm and is stable when starts. 5) Fuel presen…

hi guys, i've become frustrated with some of the advice i've been getting from some certain traders in merseyside, i have the new 08 r6, i have two keys for the yam and 2 datatool alarm fobs, so my question is, how do i get the key to fit inside the datatool fob, yes, i know about the plastic peice needs modifying but someone done mine for me and destroyed the plastic peice so much, it looks daft, i've cut my key down and it sits inside but the plastic peice shows too much space, my friends have the buells and there keys and fob look professionally done, so has anywhere close by here know where i can get this done properly??? datatool don't sell the plastic peice ready cu…

Hi, ive just purchased a Yamaha Neo 50cc moped for my 16th birthday. I was wondering how much speed would be added by removing the washer? its pretty slow at the moment doing 31mph and my dad can remove the washer with ease as he knows what he's doing he says... so i was wondering would that be enough to bump the speed up. Many Thanks Jack

Hi All, I just got a YBR 125 and love it. It seemed huge when I first got it and every time I get on it it seems a little smaller The bike is only 3 years and 3000 miles old but it has quite a bit of rust on it. The rust is mostly on the frame, the exhaust mountings, the centre stand and the silver arms at the side with the rear pegs on them. What can I do to sort this? Should I grease up the patches or wire bush all of the rust bubbles and flakes and then paint it? I don't have a garage. Is having the bike outside under a "water resistant" bike cover going to make it rust considerably more?

Looking at exhausts for my mt03 and these seem to be a fair bit cheaper than the usual suspects . Any experience of these on here ? One drawback is that they aren't road legal !

I have a 1977 xs360 w/ drum fronts and rears which kind a suck. I also have the spoke wheels, and am willing to swap over to the spokes if I have to. I have found some master cyl units, brake lines, calipers, and disks on ebay off of a 80 xs400. I am wondering if anyone knows if this year would swap over or if they know of any other years. If I could get a list of bike years that you know would swap over would be perfect. Thanks in advance.

Hi all Just picked up my 06 R6 on friday day, excellent beast. Question, is it possible to remove the collection box from below the bike? without having to fork out for new headers? Oh no here we go again, been there, done that, got the t-shirt etc. Want to keep the ex-up valve. Would like to fit an after market can ( link pipe ), have heard that some come with a servo on the pipe so can attach the ex-up cables to? These could be Akrapovic or Termignoni? Any advise, help or forget it back to the bar would be greatfull. Cheers Simon.

Hi, I do 100 miles a day commuting on my lovely 1997 XJ600S Divvy. Its a great bike, good to ride, very reliable, and economical. My bike still has the original 4 into 2 exhausts and both the 2 into 1 bits have rotted and just started to leak. I am thinking of replacing the whole exhaust systeme with a Motad 4 into 1. Has anyone else done this and were there any problems? Cheers Steve

Hiya I've only had my bike for 2 weeks so still getting use to the characteristics, so i wanted to know if i have anything to worry about, When the engine has warmed up there is a tapping/ticking noise which i thought would be the tappets it seems to tap at almost the same speed whether im sitting at lights or riding round town doing 30/40 mph i'm not sure if it still taps when going faster 60 + because i can't hear with all the wind etc, ... a mate at work said it's not a problem and probably better to hear some tapping rather than none at all coz that would mean the tappets are to tight,.. but i thought id better ask on here coz if anyone knows one of you will , I…
