I 'm keen on the Lava red ones which were available both years,so which digit/s on the ident plate tell me year model and if it's a uk model thanks

I have a 2005 r6 and im wanting to put a short can on it but there aint many out there i quite like the look of the HR1 riot cans but i ve been told they are not road legal in the UK has any one fitted a short can they wud recommened?

Hi guys, Im thinking about changing the current set up on the rear of my bike as the previous owner fitted a cheapy tail tidy, and led rear light with integral indicators. These indicators are poop in daylight, so i was just wondering if any of you guys have pics/recommendations of tail tidy's/indicators that i should think about..shall i run standard indicators with a tail tidy, or go for some smalller ones?..I also have a query regarding the rear light-if i revert back to normal indicators, shall i just disconnect the led ones, or change the rear light back to the standard one? cheers, Paul.

I HAVE THE FIRST OF THE NEW SHAPE R6, THE BIKE IS STUNNING IN ALL DEPARTMENTS BUT I HAVE NOTICED WHEN DECELERATING OR SLOWING DOWN IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT GEAR I AM IN WHEN GETTING NEAR AND BELOW 4000RPM IT SOUNDS LIKE A TICKING IS HAPPENEING AND I HAVE NEVER NOTICED THIS BEFORE, I HAVE HAD THE BIKE FROM NEW, NEARLY 2 YEARS NOW AND COVERED AROUND 2000 MILES YOU CAN SEE BY THE MILES THAT THIS IS A DRY WEEKEND TOY AND DOES GET A BIT OF ABUSE WHEN I RIDE THE THING BUT NOTHING TOO DRASTIC! New to the forum and looking for a little input. Getting pretty close to pulling the trigger on an 06' Strat S with 8600 miles on it from a dealer. Previous owner put pipes and just about every piece of add-on chrome.(engine guards, bag guards, running lights). The bike is very clean exceptfor the windshield that has several gouges in the plastic and chrome. (I plan on replacing it). Is there anything specific I should check out prior to purchase? I have been reading about this bike for about the last month or so and seems like a great ride. No service history so I would change engine oil right off the bat. Thanks for any suggestions. Marty

I just went from a 06 fz1 to a 06 midnight warrior. the gas mileage is going to be alot different but since it only has a fuel light I just wanted to see what kind of milage other warrior owners got so I at least have a small idea when I'm figuring mine out.

Hi, As the topic title suggests I've got a 2007 R6 with 3.7k on the clock. Only during the down shift from 2 to 1st gear while the clutch is pulled in the engine completely dies on me. I've taken the bike back to the place where I got it from and was told that it was a fuel issue. I have since replaced the fuel from a different provider and the problem is still there. It only happens occasionaly and only when slowing down like when approaching a junction or a hazard and coming down through the gears. The bike is a stock model. Any suggestions would be appreciated Thanks

Looking at this bike in blue. Have a c-50t right now that i will be trading in on this bike. I've had a sv650n before the cruzer. Always wanted a sport bike and like the way the r6s looks. How is it on the streets? I'm worried about the low end not being there. Not going to do any track riding just commuting and riding around. I know its going to be better than my current ride but how would it compair to the sv? How does it compare to the other 600's out there? thanks for any info.

Hello everyone, N e e d y o u r h e l p!!! I bought an 07 yamaha r6s last september and i noticed this ticking noise while iam riding. The noise is coming somewhere in the front. I had the dealership checked out the noise and they told me this is normal. But i am not so confident as to what they told me. I only hear this noise when i am actually riding the bike and as i speed up, the noise goes faster. Its kinda like a plastic hitting a wheel, the noise goes faster when you spin the wheel faster. the noise does not come on when it is in neutral or when you have the clutch on while reving up. Does anyone have this experience or any advice to what i should do?

Picked up my beautiful white 08 R6 last friday, having ridden a heavily modded Ducati M900 for the last few years, i'm in love!!! Like riding a 250 2-stroke again, tho i'm having difficulty keeping to the 8300rpm running in rule. Especially having tasted the 8750ish boost from the YCCi. Its as addictive as crack (So i'm told!!) I've already done the R&G tail tidy and flush indicator jobs, and plenty more mods to come. But just have a couple of questions i hope someone can help with! a- Where can i get a pair of pillion peg blank plates from? b- Any tips on removing the cra99y big warning sticker on the tank? hi all my bike is 18 months old and the down pipes look like 10 years old. any ideas what i could do to stop them corroding any more? on chopper style bikes they use exhaust wrap but it makes the exhaust run hotter, would it be worth me putting some on? or would it do something that could bugger it up? any help please cheers john

hi all, having problems starting bike. all started couple weeks ago after washing bike, i would hit the start button and it would turn over but wouldn't fire up unless you gave a fist full of throttle. i took it out for a long ride to dry it all out cos i thought maybe water had got in the electrics, and that seemed to of have cured it. but today i tried starting it and it wouldn't fire up unless i pinned the throttle back. but i noticed this time that when turning over and not firing the temp sersor reading would flash between hi and low readings. any ideas cheers john

Am looking at getting a TZR for my birthday, but would it be worth paying a little bit extra for the 250 ready for when that restrictor "falls off" :shock: Basically, would it give me the extra performance to justify paying the extra?
