I am in Belgium for this one The big addition to this year’s festival is the inaugural Northwich Bike Festival. The festival committee, backed by Cheshire West and Chester Council is resolute in wishing to retain the ethos of the now relocated Thundersprint and Saturday at Moss Farm will be a biker’s paradise. Trophies will be awarded to various categories in a huge classic bike show sponsored by Mike Blake of P. E. Blake and Son of Little Leigh. Mike will be showcasing his own collection and will be joined by hundreds of other enthusiasts from across the region. With full camping facilities available a complete sell out is a certainty for the Saturday music bill…

Some of you in the North West may be interested in this. Every year the local rugby club organise a festival which is very well organised and appears to get better each year. This year, following our loss of the Thundersprint, they have added a motorcycle show to the Bank Holiday weekend attractions. They were going to have a three lap cavalcade of the town, but apparently got a letter claiming intellectual property rights on this and have had to cancel it. Further info is available at www.northwich-festival.co.uk

Had a blast today, rode 100 miles to New inn first for a meet up and scram, then off to the factory at Castle Donington. Their factory is MIA offices and still is, so its a bit sureal as the carpets are still down and staff look like they just mill around not looking very busy. What a great job. we went round the assembly area and was told they are gearing up for the new V4 Norton raod bikes which they hope to make 3k per year. looks like the old twin may be making way as they are also doing a twin version by keeping just the from 2 front cylinders to make a 650cc bike. We got taken to the frame factory but were banned from taking any photos as the new V4 w…

Planned to ride from surrey to Weymouth today to take advantage of the sun, after a badly sign posted diversion near Winchester ended up on some awsome Dorset country roads so ended up touring Dorset and ended up in somerset, late afternoon after being held up by one to many herds of cows crossing the road I decided to head home but I was totally lost and course when I got my phone out to use the sat nav there was no signal and the battery soon died. After following my nose for a while eventually found myself homeward bound and finished with a blast up the M3 ( sadly intterupted by roadworks). Got home much later than planned, very tired and hungry but found some amazing r…

I'm looking to see if there is a regular meet in the nottingham area. I always see a mass amount of bikes out on a sunday but not sure how to meet up with them. Im also interested to know if anyone with a 125 bothers with the meets or not? Is it worth it in terms of being able to keep up, surely you end up riding by yourself. Anyone involved or interested would be good to hear from you,

I have a Royal Enfield with number plate YAM 691, the number plate has been valued at around £1500+ but I was assuming it would be particular interest to a Yamaha owner. Before I go through the agencies, do you know anyone who might be interested in buying it?
