I decided to take today off as the forecast looked very promising, if a bit colder than of late. Along M65 to J13 and then A682 to Long Preston, A65 to Kirkby Lonsdale (plenty of bikes parked by the brew wagon in the car park next to the bridge) then along the A683 to Sedbergh where I stopped for lunch in glorious sunshine. A684 to Hawes and cut back along the B6255 to Ribblehead where I got some nice shots of the bike with the Ribblehead Viaduct in the background. Back to Settle via Horton in Ribblesdale and retraced my steps home via the A65/A682/M65. could anyone tell me where i can look to find hill climbs in the newcastle area? im no pro and im only using a dt125r so i dont want anything major.just looking for any decent hills in my area.if anyone knows of any or where i can look online or anywhere else id really appreciate it. ive seen a lot of it on t.v.in the past so im assuming theres clubs e.t.c. but after weeks of searching the net im still at a loss. thanks dave.

it's a must see event, this sunday from 10 till 5 ish . google it if you want more detail, but let me tell you this, you can enter the padocks and watch them tuning and fiddling there machines b4 the races start, and get an up close look at some real classics, theirs side car sprint modern stuff ,and a whole lot more. so iff you have nowt better on, get down there, it's about £5-£8 im not to sure. bring the family.
