Do you look the drivers in the eye when they are at a junction just to make sure that they've seen you? The scary thing is that sometimes, people look in your direction and they don't even see you......I had that done to me during my DAS lesson but I knew the driver was gunna pull out so I managed to stop in time!

Hello, After my bike's 600 mile service, the clock is nearly reading 1500 miles. I think it's time to clean and lube my chain but I've never done it before, can someone post some tips on how to do this? I'm thinking of using a can of WD-40 with a rag to clean the chain and then spray some Wurth Dry Lube on it which I've bought the other day. Also, I don't have a stand for my bike so what's the best way in doing this on my own?

Trying to find a home for my dad's Yamaha 80 (blue) 1988 motorbike, 19k miles from new Kept in garage until recently, well looked after Surely I don't have to take this to the scrapyard?? Know it is a bit dated but what a waste? . ..... any advice/offers? C Hawkes

I often see this as a strange subject for bikes. I dont understand why a bike with 30,000 miles is seen as a bad thing if it has been looked after, services by a dealer and is most importantly straight! Cars now do 100,000 fine without issues! I use my bike almost everyday for work and i do about 80miles a day to and from work and although yes i know it wil be worth less but surely the enjoyment from getting out there on a top class bike and enjoying it is better than worrying about the mileage on it each time. And wouldnt a bike thats used more often be ridden more concervativly as they need the reliability out of it rather than tearing the nuts off it every odd…

Trip to BSB Knockhill Scotland July 2007, just got around to posting this. Day 1 This trip was in planning for more than 12 months, well the day finally arrived to head off to Scotland on 28th June this was going to be a cracking trip……………but wait. Packed the bike up on Wed night 27th June, nothing left to chance, all the bits and pieces required for running repairs packed. Calls the wife out for a photo on the bike for her family in Scotland……………then things started to go wrong. As she got up on the bike it went over, wind shield in sh1te, wifes wrist, sprained possibly broken. Gets the bike back in the upright position, shock horror the thoughts or 1000 mile journ…
