  4. Thanks to this forum and its members, I recently got to know that my '79/'80 DT175 was a DT175F and not a DT175MX since the frame and engine didn't not carry the 2A7-XXXXXX code. And btw mine has got a monoshock rear suspension. I would like to know the difference between the MX & the F, and how can I tell if mine has got CDI or magneto suspension? Wasn't sure if I should post this topic here, workshop or classics section, so barely with me until I get used to feeling like home Thanks in advance!

    1. There is a vast difference in grounds with regards to length and width, thus varying the quality of play. 2. Pitches vary from the well grassed to the completely bald. 3. Remember, it is possible to score at both ends. 4. Tackling from behind is not always an offence, check with ground owner. 5. Be careful, as after a few pints a ground appears to be of premiership standard, but in reality would not even be eligible as a council dumping ground. 6. Only some grounds offer five a side facilities. 7. Don't ever make public your desires to play at Wembley, also never mention pitches previously visited. 8. Extra time is dependant on subsequent pi…

Ok so I have a 1977 Yamaha Dt 400... I'm looking to buy a manual for it, I found one but it says on the cover that it's for a Dt 400 (d) and I have been led to believe that mine is a Dt 400 mx?? The book still seems to be based on the 400cc engine and the monoshock... Question is will it work?? This is my frame incase anyone can tell what it is from the photo This is the cover of the manual

I've been commuting year round for 2.5 years now on my trusty old Thunderace and being an old bike, it requires regular and sometimes in depth maintenance. Which, because I'm riding pretty much EVERY day, it's not getting... So... I bought myself a 2018 edition (registered 2017) Suzuki DL1000A to take the strain off the Thunderace and also allow me to strip it down and do the work to it it needs. Now. I'm not used to a V-Twin so, my questions are: 1/ When you wind a V-Twin on, do they always sound like several people are hammering a piece of concrete a couple of doors away? 2/ Baring in mind the above question, how do I tell if the engine is…

When I did my CBT the guy told me that it will cost me around £700-800 altogether to get my full licence. I'm at the point now where I need to do it because my 125 is just not giving me that buzz any more, even though still love it. To be honest I feel like a dick head on it especially when other bikers pull up at the side of me. The other day some guy on a big street fighter looked me up and down and burst out laughing at me, and the other favourite is just straight dusting me off at lights etc. I've even had a few scooters try it on. Anyway I phoned this other place up today and he said it will cost £400 all inclusive! Lessons and the lot. To be fair I won't need a lot …

Hi there! You folk haven't heard the best yet, as far as YBR box & clutch related issues go... ready.? Sitting comfortably..? Once upon a time, very recently in fact... Still ongoing tbh..! I decided to try and sort out my 'disappearing neutral' as it was more annoying than anything else... Yammy YBR's are lovely, lightweight, easy going commuters.. Anyhoo.. it took an oil change and chain slack adjustment to fix that, fair enough you think, Oooh no, yammy had other plans.. And before anyone harps on about newbies not knowing their arse from their elbow, I've been really gentle on the gear peg, as I got it bent and was told neutral 'was there somewhere'…
