THe side is grazed a lot... i thnk i got the worse of it Other than that.. the bike is as sexy as ever. Anybody in the central lodon area or a guardian PLEASE to help me grectify this for the sun which is streaming through the window. Iv been of work since, so my budget isnt too ohigh also. Forgive me if a rant or a bit boring but some of you can relate to this Had my first crash today on black ice. Traveling down a country road, approached sharp right hander, no indication of ice as it was sunny and warming up. As I started the bend i was instantly planted on the floor making a physical check of the tarmac listening to the slide of the bike going westward. As soon as i hit the floor, in an instant I managed to think of a few things: WTF???? Bikes gone, shit I'm off Why am I off? God damn I can feel sheet ice below me I'm okay, just sliding i remember no cars in area, just wait till i stop (at stop) mental checked myself over before moving - no pai…

I've really started hitting the weights down the gym and I'm gonna start using creatine again. But I can't remember- how much I should take to load up with at first - how much to take once the loading up period is finished - how long to use it for. Anyone got more of a clue on this than me?

the annual crimbo joke thread just starting. get posting peeps The Crist family worked at a zoo. Each year they predicted the general luck and overall mood of the year by watching the the gnu. If the gnu's ears were forward, that meant a successful, joyous year was almost certain to happen. But if his ears were laid back flat against his head, it meant that an unlucky or very unhappy year was sure to come. One year it was young Mary's turn to "survey" the animal and come up with the prediction. It was her first time solo, and in her excitement, she forgot to take the key to the cage. She was late in coming to check on the gnu. Well, she saw the wrong ear position an…

Got up this morning, geared up for ride to work, went out to bike, looking at it something was different, hang on, where's the reg plate!! Not in the garden fallen off, I know it was very secure, so where? Nicked I guessed, thinking "oh well" decided best report in case of fraud. Always had opinion police are too busy for the little crimes (£200 car stereo robbed, not even a call back), but today, had several call backs asking finer details. Last call off an inspector of a sort called me thanking me for the info and reporting as they've been able to nick someone they've been monitoring. He was on a silver Yamaha like mine but with my plate! Just had the "CSI" du…

I am new at this. I have had a Yamaha 175cc dirt bike since I was 12 years old. Got it as a christmas present. It was my second motorcycle ever, my first was a Italian made Indian 50cc dirtbike. I am now 33 and wanting to fix the Yamaha up for my 11 year old boy. My father made it look like a dirt bike with a TT tank decals, stripped down look and knob tires. I am now researching the bike so I can figure out where to start in getting it to run. I can not find a number on the engine but it looks original. The number on the frame is CT1-082606 which tells me it was a CT175 Enduro? Is that right? Can anyone tell me what year it is? Seems like everywhere I look says something…

Got hold of a lovely TDR 250, great bodywork really looked after, ( as far as washing and polishing goes). Brake fluid like 3 day old coffee, OVER 2L of transmission oil in the box (1L req, i thought it would never stop as i only had a small bowl) that was black, throttle cable, clutch cable, oil pump, chain, lever positions, gear change anti rattle shim missing, squeaky brakes, ancient plugs badly gapped. Spent all Sunday sorting that little lot, just waiting on the tyres now they are in Wed/TH they are aincient (sidewalls are starting to crack). It goes a LOT better for the work tho. When will people realise these things don't maintain themselves AND…

I genuinely cannot believe it... I have fallen in love with the DT, Thus I'm keeping it! Past few days I've had it out and I've covered... 70.6 miles since the bike was taxed!! I'm incredibly pleased that I took OG's advice and kept sticking with it, I've now mastered the YPVS and it isn't lifting so much now. Today I went for a ride out with a friend who owns an Aprilia RX 125 2010 model that is Dyno proven to be 21.7 hp! The DT murdered it!!! I really enjoyed the ride we had (yes we did play throughout the shire), we stopped off over selsley common in Gloucestershire and had an Ice cream while chatting about the two bikes and both of us agree …

Curtain Rods He spent the first day sadly packing his belongings into boxes, crates and suitcases. On the second day, He had the movers come and collect his things. On the third day, He sat down on the floor in the dining room by candlelight, put on some background music, and feasted on a pound of shrimp, a jar of caviar, and a bottle of Chardonnay. When He had finished, He went into each and every room and deposited a few half-eaten shrimp and caviar, into the hollow of the curtain rods. He replaced the endcaps on the curtain rods, cleaned up the kitchen, and left. When the Wife returned with her new boylfriend, all was bliss for the first few days. Then slo…

Hello all, I've just bought myself a cheap run around, it has a custom paint job on the tank.... someone has painted by hand a beautiful lady on the tank of this Yamaha FJ1200 1993. Does anyone know who may have done it (Long shot I know) and has it ever been owned by someone here on the forum.

Hey guys, I recently purchased a 1984 XS400 maxim. I am a new rider, so I am still unfamiliar with the brands and anything motorcycle related. I wanted to change a couple of things on my XS400, the exhaust and the seat. If anybody can please suggest any brands/parts, it will be appreciated. Thanks.
