Hey guys Id just like to say hi to everyone and share my dilemma with you guys, perhaps some of you could guide me in the right direction. Im 20 and have owned my xvs125 for a good year and a half. I hardly ride it but pamper it away in the garage and those spring and summer months its out the garage definetly are some of my best days Time has come though where Im considering to sell it, if I could get more power out of it, I would keep it, however if I cant I would rather just sell it. Selling it and buying a larger engined bike isnt an option because I dont have my full licence and being a student dont want to fork out the money for the theory, les…

  2. Well peeps, what a great day out. Up to Birch services for 7.30am. Already there where about 3-400 bikes. Press, News, Tv etc....and of course the Police. Met up with Goff At 8.00, around 2-3000 bikes had gathered..exact figure...duno. 8.10am...set off down the motorway at around 10-20 mph, using all 3 lanes and a few using the hard shoulder. Yeah we had a police escort... Anyhoo..we got to Man Utd Fc ground and parked up on the main road, blocking all surrounding roads..we hadnt got 2 our destination at Salford Quays yet. After about 15 mins..we got moving again and set off for The Quays. Those that where there....cool ..those that werent..shame you…

  3. 2 years ago, I hadnt passed my big test and I wanted to go on hols. I was on 125s...no bother...After a joke at a bike shop I use, I decided to go to John O`Groats. The day I was setting off, my bike got run over... Insurance man gave me a YBR125, lovely red thing, had less than a 1000 miles on the clock and obviosly been dropped a dozen times....I serviced it before I set off. Pic of us somewhere near Carlisle. Pic of some of the roads (Ahem....) we went on Beach at Durness JOG 10 days around Scotland, 2000 miles, best holiday Id ever had. Yam 125..never let me down, I even put a phone c…

After 17,000 miles of running well, my TRX850 has started to run rich on both cylinders. It is rich enough to foul the plugs and cause misfiring at low revs. I believe the ignition is ok as it appears fine at higer revs I have changed the plugs and air filter, checked that the chokes are not sticking, renewed the choke mechanisms, cleaned the carbs several times, but they look spotless anyway, checked the diaphragms and throttle position sensor and checked for a blocked carb breather. I suspect that the bike has been dynojetted but as it was running fine before this problem this should not be part of the problem. I have run out of ideas, any suggestions would be more …

In wet conditions aproaching a sharp corner doing 40mph and slowing down whats the best way to brake to slow down? currently i use engine braking by easing off the throtle and braking with both front and rear break and changing down gear and slowly letting out the clutch and slowly accelerate around the corner not enough throtle to go faste…

Returning to M/Cycling after a 28 year lay off, right good chance of killing myself apparently. Had a good go in my younger days mind! Problem is, me head's grown gianormous! Bought an Xl Takich & soon after bought an XXL, but after a couple of hours it kills the top of my ears. Apparently these cheaper helmets are all built around the same shell, but the padding thickness varies. Shoei etc have different shell sizes but they're expensive. Now in '76, I bought 2 new Shoei's and a brand new Honda CD175. They weren't expensive, so I'm shocked to see that I might have to pay as much for a new Shoei lid as I paid for my new Honda in '76! (£299 from M/Cycle City) …

  10. Hi! I'm the proud new owner of a 2008 Yamaha FZ1 Fazer. Ocean Depths. I'm a Kawasaki boy from way back, so it all feels a little weird, to say the least. Instead of going into a long introduction here, I'll just include a couple of links to my blog, where I post regularly about motorcycles (and various other topics): My new hobby Loyal Kawasaki Rider Defects to Yamaha Feel free to leave any comments here on the blog itself. Looking forward to getting to know the other side... Andrew

Ok, i was wondering how much harder the full test is than CBT. I dont mean to sound stupid, i realise that it is harder, but i think i probs ride to standard (mirrors checked every 10-15 secs, two pushes of the indicators to make sure they cancel everytime, throwing lifesavers around like they are candy at a parade, plus riding straight and safe and within speed limits) do i stand a chance? I'm itching to get riding a big bike (even if limimted to 33bhp), and my step-dad's got a Thundercat hes willing to GIVE me if i pass. Cheers guys Alex

Hi everyone! Just thought i'd share the great news that my wife has given birth to our 3rd son!! So that's gonna be another future biker. My eldest son already has his request in for a motorbike for his upcoming 5th birthday (that's my boy!!). They're gonna cost me a fortune over the next few years on bikes - and I don't care cos it'll be worth every penny. I'm also trying encouraging my wife to do her bike test. Think biking is definately in the blood.....

Hey everyone. My name is Ryan. Im from Allentown, Pa. I am 18 and have been riding motorcycles and dirtbikes since I was 3 years old. And I started drag racing dirtbikes when I was 4. I used to race a Yamaha PW50 when I started. Then I stopped racing when I started school. But I kept riding dirt bikes and fourwheelers. Then when I turned 17 I bought a 1983 Honda Interceptor VF750F. I knew people that were friends with my dad that raced Interceptors back in the day and I always thought they were awesome bikes. So I rode that for a yer and put a bunch of miles on it and even took it to the dragstrip . It ran a 12.3 @ 108MPH. And my best reaction time was a .009…

Hi to you all, I've just bought a 1984 Maxim 700 which needs a bit of TLC. Never had a Yamaha before but had plenty of British bikes over the years and one Honda. I gather I've found the best site for finding bits a nd pieces for it. Nice to be here.

Hello everybody, Gravesone here. I've just got myself a FZR400 WG1 Genesis on a 86' plate, which I'm in the process of stripping down and bringing it back to it's former glory. I haven't had a Jap bike for over 30 years, my last one was an RD250. I'll be needing quite a bit of help and advice on the refurb. Your help will be much appreciated. By the time it's finished (12 months approx) it will take on a 'Stevie Baker' colour scheme. The previous owner has had the chain 'hand grenade' on him smashing the water-pump, I've had a quote for £241 direct from Japan , does anybody know anywhere I stand a chance of getting one? The whole bike didn't cost much…
