hi just bought a padlock alarm from Aldi for £7-99, i have put mine under the seat of the R1, when the bike is moved it gives out 110 decibels, really neat bit of kit you could also bolt it to your wheel. but i like the stealth aspect.and it beats those alarms you see advertised for £40 , so go out and buy one,

  9. having ridden bikes for more years than i care to remember, you cant help feeling that the experience has lost something as time has passed bye, speed cameras everywhere etc, etc.i have also spent hundreds of hours building/repairing bikes & have craved to do something a bit different for a change, something over the top - and so was born THE COCKROACH !!!!!! as the name suggests,it was never meant to be a thing of beauty, but it is meant to be over the top.basically it started its life as a 2 seater kids/adult 8hp automatic offroad buggy but it has since evolved into 750cc beast.i originally bought it as a clapped out project for £200-ish & have spent a month or so …

Decided lately that I wanted some short levers for my FZ6, the stock ones looked a bit dull! But I didnt want to spend £80 per lever on ASV ones so I thought I would try some cheap levers from eBay. My first worry about them were that they may fail in operation, but having checked many many forum reviews and despite all the worry stories, I didnt find a case where cheap levers have failed under normal use.. So I bit the bullet and I bought these, short, black version: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/350648816847 Despite having to wait 4 weeks for them they have finally arrived and I have fitted them onto the bike. First thing I did was inspected the lever build, quality…

Hello all. I'm after a 'cheap' (sub £50) Summer jacket. I have Armour with my current jacket so just looking for something lightweight and breezy, with fairly decent protection for my commute to work. Maybe I'm asking for the impossible with this budget, but after my CBT in March, I went out and bought a load of winter kit, so now I'm bloody roasting Not sure if I can link (think I can!) but something like "Gearx Aircon Summer Motorcycle Jacket Waterproof CE Protection All sizes" for around £50 seems a good deal, but is it to good to be true? Any ideas would be most welcome!

Just had a new tyre fitted, a vee rubber that cost about £45. Straight away I noticed the difference from my BT 45. I don't feel safe on it and my confidence has dropped massively going round corners. I didn't want a cheap shitty tyre fitting. It's going to have to come off.

Hi All, I have a 1988 xv250. According to the manual the bike should be positioned "straight up" when checking the oil. Is this true or should it be on the sidestand? Thanks.
