I was thinking the other day what made me like motorbikes. None of my 3 sons are into bikes althought Matt my oldest (27) has just bought a ped to comute on and Al had an Aprilia ped when he was 16. My Dad had bikes because no one his age had cars back then and his dad was the first in his street to have a car. Dad got into bikes ,more than just comuting .he had various bikes an Aerial 350 being one his favorites, his first new bike was a Triumph Tiger 100 which he sold to put a deposite down on his first flat.My Uncle Harry had a Vincent Black Shadow, and dad and his mates Spent all there spare time(when not playing football) racing around the North circular and …

I've just downloaded the CD "Classic FREE" album to my I.Pod. Just listened to "All Right Now" It is my favourite record of all times, Apart from Simon & Garfunkel "Bridge over troubled waters" Also downloaded Thin Lizzy. I also think that "Whiskey in the jar" is my favourite also. I also think "Itchycoo park" is my favourite song as well. But, I recon Jimi Hendrix's "all along the watchtower" is my best song of all times. Now I'm listening to "Telegram Sam" by T.Rex I'm so confused as to which my favourite song is my head hurts.

I've had this on my list of things to do for a while now. Why? I'm not sure really! After all, is sitting on a motorway for miles on end ever really fun? And is it an enjoyable way of buggering up a set of tyres? Well the negatives aside, it was still rattling around my brain. So on Friday night after work, I found it on my mind again and without hesitation I set about preparing... : The route? Down the M6 and M5 to Exeter, A30 to Penzance, A394/A39/A390/A38 to Exeter, A30/A303/M3/M25/M20 to Folkstone, A260/A2/M2/Dartford Crossing/M25 to M1, then finally M1/M62/M60/M67. That would bring me about 50 miles over 1000 which is what they recommend in the rules. : T…

Hey guys, so I'm counting down the days until I get to collect my YBR125 at the end of this week! It's been such a long passion of mine to ride motorbikes, but before I knew it work, cars and a house got in the way.... Anyway, here I am at 27, getting my first bike! I can't wait to get out and practice so I can work towards my full licence next year. So, help inspire me to get the most out of my (speed devil) 125, and share some cool stories about your first bikes - what was your first bike? Did you go on any mammoth trips? Find yourself riding in crazy weather for the first time? Etc... I'm hoping I'll be able to share my own stories in the not too distant fut…

there seems to be a wide variety of views Me for example, not particularly interested in motorbike racing although one of my friends would never miss a race or qualifying session on TV but I am facinated by the IoM TT. Travelling about and socialising must be big reasons, again me for example, I wouldn't visit the vast majority of distant destinations I do if it were a case of using a car, getting a coach, train or bus. a combination of seeing new places plus the pleasure of the journey (absolutely no fun in that with a car). is it the concept of a motorbike for its own sake as a hobby and interest, something to take apart, clean, cherish - as well as bei…

Still got to be run in but at least the weather isn't too bad. The shiny pictures: I took it for a little run using my normal commute roads. Seems to go OK. I've just got to scrub the tyres in a bit and then give it some welly. Well pleased! Back to 4 bikes now and 3 are Yami's.

Hey folks, just me having a waffle. I started my CBT instructor training on Tuesday and today was my third day out of 6 so pretty much gone half way through and my god how flipping hard is it!! Now i done my CBT just over 4 years ago and thought it was an eye opener, bit boring till i got on the bike and a bit of a mind fuck when we got going. But after doing the big boys test and learning all the "bad habits" then going back to do this instructor training i never actually realised how hard it really is, not only to pass the CBT but to do it so perfectly that you show a novice how to ride a bike for the first time. Tomorrow im on a road ride in the morning an…

Well the bikes been in the garage for two weeks, supposedly waiting on parts. It's not even back on the road yet and I'm stressing out over it. Same old shit. Wonder what 'other problems' they have come across while doing a simple job. It can't be more than two hours labour and the price of the gear shaft which is what, about 60/70 quid?

Hello I need some help with my bike I brought a replacement cdi (one from eBay) a while ago and managed to get it started but the bike got really hot really quick also sound really tapping top end I also noticed the carb was leaking fuel out the over flow so I rebuilt the carb got it ultra sonic cleaned and checked reeds. since I have done this it's nearly impossible to start only starts from cold being bumped but when hot will start 1 or 2 kicks done a compression test around 145 -150 so that's fine when it was running I sprayed carb cleaning on crank seal no change. i don't think it's fuel related because I sprayed easy start straight into the cyclinder when c…
