Hi there everyone, i'm new on this site as i have just bought my first baby drag. I have wanted a dragstar since first seeing one in 2001, i finally got my hands on one and she's a beaut! i have no pics to post at the mo, but shouldn't be long. I have been thinkin of swappin over the pipes and wondered if anyone had any suggestions as to which ones would sound and look mean. the louder the better! i haven't set any alarms off going past them yet, that's all i want. i offer the hand of friendship to all who love drags, they are lovely aren't they! peace and happiness, and ride safe.

Jeez, it seems like an age since I've been on here. A lot has changed, but nothing has changed (wife and I both lost out remaining parents during lockdowns; wife lost her sister and 2 aunts, I need a hip replacement, wife has been diagnosed with angina and our son has been diagnosed with FND and now needs a wheelchair to get around), we still have the same bikes and like everyone else we're getting to used to life outside lockdown again. This past year I've made a couple of subtle changes to the FJ (Fazer 1000 mirrors, wavy rear disc, braided stainless clutch line) as well giving her a bit of a deep clean, but mostly I've just been riding her. Quite a few 100-200 mil…

Hi back :!: Had great time down in Cornwall only to find it had happenned again. Good job we were away. I was lucky the bike wasn`t touched aswell. It happenned last weekend [27th] and wrote off 3 more cars. That now makes 9 accidents in 15 years. We were lucky that we were down in Cornwall on hols. Otherwise the Cooper s would have been written off as well. I was lucky the bike wasn`t touched aswell. As the next door neighbours car was turened over this time. Some thing has to be done. Well we`ve made the decision we got to move as soon as the house is ready were off :!:

Hello to all in this forum. I have just got back in the saddle after a 4yr break whilst my wife had our children, yesterday I purchased a 2005 YZF R6 which I cannot wait to get on the road. Do you think I should have refresher lesson before I get back on the road? I live in the West Midlands and would like to attend local meets or ride outs, any ideas? I look forward to your advise... Anthony.

Hi All Well now i have done it, after riding for years "when i was a lad" (but never passing my bike test (i know im a kn*) and being turned to the dark side by them 4 wheeled things, i have now bought a XV125 Virago. Been thinking about bikes for ages now but always resisted as i know i will be hooked on them again (I had an 80cc sports bike and did 23000 miles in under a year, mad or what) What finally did it was sitting in the queues at the blackwall tunnel for the past 6 weeks and watching with envy as the bikes slip past (well they do by me coz i get out the way) it was getting to be 3 hours to get to work and 2 to get home (only 40 miles) Pick it up…

THE BATTLE-BITCH IS BACK!!!!! Up the MoT centre, check over, test stuff, laser-alignment thingumies out and a thorough examination top to tail... I have a pass certificate, no advisories and a MASSIVE grin on my face!!! As is the custom, I have a couple of photos to show - Here's what is left of the damaged parts. You may notice stator rotor and pickup, stator cover, entire back end and rear light assembly, indicators, number plate, footpeg, mudguard and the rear wheel: The crash bar bore so much impact that it bent in and shattered the thick metal stator cover... ...and actually bent the stator rotor (which was subsequently used for a spot of weldi…

Hello everyone, It's been a while. I still have four DT's, but progress on complete restoration of som, and engine rebuilds on the complete bikes has been slow due to me buying a house 12 months ago. I sold the RS 200 and TTR 250 before buying the house. So I've not ridden much recently either... So I have decided to fix this by buying a YB 100!! I've justified this by saying its a Christmas present for my new girlfrirend. :-) It's got six months MOT and looks tidy. I'm picking it up tonight. I'd post pisctures, but i'm lazy, so here's the ebay link chaps... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-YB100-Deluxe-Motorcycle-100cc-/221623728854?ssPageName=STRK%3…

My bike was being suspiciously reliable lately, it must want something from me, a wash maybe. Anyway, this week after not getting what it wanted it threw all it's toys out of the pram and started stalling, usually just as you go to open the throttle. Not only this but it's down on power (when you've only got 9hp you notice a missing 1/2hp), and under heavy load at higher RPM you can hear the engine breaking up a little, definately not a fuel problem, so I'm guessing the coil is on it's way out. I would test it but my multimeter also threw a tantrum and a new coil is cheaper than a new meter. What do you guys think?

I lost a key from a boozy night out, so having only 1 key left i thought it would be wise to get a pair of backups made. called up the dealership, gave them my key code, eng no, frame no and he said it would be no problem, pick em up the next day, so i did. Only problem being these new keys are good enough to open the petrol tank and not start her up! They dont even look the same at the bottom of the key as my original. Any ideas?

You may have noticed that I haven't posted in the last few weeks. Truth is, I've been on hospital. Doing about 30-50 (cant quite remember) down a main road, when a car decided to pull out on me and give me flying lessons. Got rushed off to emergency in an ambulance, broke both tibia and fibula, had to have an operation quick-sticks. Going to be off the bike for a while now, luckily it was work's bike and not mine so don't have to get anythng fixed. If any1 on YOC works on anything to do with law (particularly compensation and insurance law) please contact me. I wont be walking for several weeks now, and wont be on the bike for longer. Please guys, ride safe…
