not been on for a while and now running a 650 dragstar which sadly has a bit of a whining top gear and i was just wondering if any one can tell me either just how hard it is to change out the gears and whether its really worth the time and trouble in doing so or how i could go about making it quieter, if such a thing is possible that is. Any help would be really appreciated. thanks.

Hello Guys Well I done it, took my bike test back in October 2012 on WR125x and passed and now I have a XJ6N with a restrictor fitted. When the time comes I will want to remove restrictor, is this an easy job to do, or will I have to take bike to a Yamaha dealer? Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello I have a Yamaha XJ6N with 33bhp restictor fitted. When I pull the throttle back after changing gear there is a delay before throttle kicks in. At the moment it only seems to happen when bike is cold, once warmed up it's okay. Any help will be much appreciated

Hi. i have a 2001 dt 125 - first bike. i am new to bikes but have been a car mechanic for 10 years so playing with this a bit of fun as well as a learning process. the wiring on my bike has been cut about (to take basically all of the electrics off to make it into a motocross bike - by previous owner). it kicks over and starts / runs fine, however i have no operation of the power valve / servo. the power valve rotates and isnt siezed, cables are good, servo is in working order. therefore must be a wiring issue. i have a 3RM-20 cdi if that helps. and the ypvs servo is the five wire type, 4 in a connector and 1 with a bullet like connector. Looking for wiring diagrams for…

For about a year I'd been using a cheap headset in an attempt to communicate with my pillion passenger, but just last week I upgraded to the Sena SMH10. Wow, what a difference. There is a huge improvement in sound quality and reduction in background noise. The SMH10 is also very easy to use, I really like how easy it is to change volume with the dial knob. I have a full-face helmet and so I used the wired mike and not the boom mike. My previous headsets cost about $70 each, bought at a bike show, but were more of a frustration than a benefit. The wind noise, road noise and engine noise were amplified together with voice so that it was difficult to make out voice and resul…

I have been re...er decorating and upgrading my 83 XT250 and I have found that there are many extra wiring options that I didn't initially take note of...ok I just took the thing apart without taking any notes. So what I need is maybe a picture or two of what its suppose to look like. The bike also didn't come with a speedo, so I have an older speedo attached so the wiring harness for the idiot light don't match up obviously because I don't have the oem speedo. Otherwise I'm having a great time but until I figure this wiring out I cannot ride it. PS I have the Clymer manual and since I'm not an electrical engineer...yet, I need and like pictures, like the books read…

Bye bye FZ...I do miss you But it had to go, the final straw was changing work locations, twenty plus miles of undulating twisting quiet B roads....just great, fcuking great...but, I was pushing the limits all the time, accelerating out of the corners with the front wheel lifting up a wee bit in a few gears...horsing into corners and locking up the rear a bit while down changing...which sets up the corner for a better exit ...loved it, all the time. The worrying thing is that I was not worried. When it rained I would not take my old hack out, but I would still take the FZ, just for the fun of relativity low speed drifting. All great fun, but not clever, and no…

hi,due to unforseen circumstances i am forced to consider parting with my 98 r1 4xv & i wondered if anyone has any idea what a realistic asking price (or reserve price if i ebay it) would be? its pearl white & red,red seat model,25k miles with fsh etc, totally standard & in extremely good condition.i havnt used it for a number of years as i didnt want to run the mileage up on it & i been using a 1200 bandit until recently.basically its been mothballed in my workshop but started quite often & given the odd ride now & then to keep everything working.i guess the only consolation about having to let it go would be if its worth decent money.has anyone ha…

Hi everyone, I have the above bike and my question is, does anyone know if the front part of the exhaust pipe (from the cylinder head) is it the same as the exhaust on a 175A or B. I know the complete front section isn't the same but I want to cut the down pipe from a 'A' or 'B' and weld it to my exhaust as it is in a bad way. Thanks

I'm fortunate to be ordering an XJ6 Diversion F next week, fitted with a 39L top box. Given that I commute all year round I wanted to invest in something more than a throw over cover and was looking at Bike Barn or Bike Home(?); the fabric covered metal framed, drive in pull over ones. Unfortunately I can't tell from the pictures on the adverts which size I'd need for the cover to clear the top box at the back. Does anyone out there already have the same bike, with a top box (39L or more) and uses such a cover? If so please would you recommend the make and let me know what size to order? Alternativeloy has anybody seen any of these at retail (in London…
