Hello all, I have just bought my first Yamaha, it's a SZR 660 Super single on a P plate. A very nice bike, but I need some parts for it namley the bodywork. but anything considered.

Does any body else have a T80 they use on here as they are getting pretty rare 40 left on the road tax and tested, i use mine everyday to get to college and general buzzing around, not bad for a 19 year old bike its done 4,500 miles since August, I have to thrase it abit in 2nd and 3rd but she gets up to 45 nicely. She is abit ratterly at low speeds due to needing valves clearances doing and abit of a whine when hot but she does what she does nicely and glad I got here Instead of a c90 better fuel range and handling and just a good laugh. I heard they do a 2 stroke version but less mpg and not as reliably.

Hey there guys. Just wondering if anyone could help me? I have a 1985 Fz400 that i have recently got back on the road. I have noticed that the front forks seem to be quite soft. They have the TCS (travel control system) on the top of the forks which is like a air valve which i prossume you fill with air to get the correct amount of travel. After pressing the centre of the valve no air came out which either means they are leaking or just empty. Does anyone know what PSI these should have in them? Any advice or feedback much appreciated. HI! I AM LOOKING FOR INFORMATION ON UPGRADING MY YAMAHA TDM 850 (3VD). I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO FIT A 17” FRONT WHEEL FROM A THUNDERCAT, BUT WHICH SPACERS, SPEEDO DRIVE AND DISCS DO I USE? I HAVE ALSO BEEN TOLD THAT THE FRONT BRAKES CAN BE IMPROVED BY FITTING THE BLUE SPOT CALLIPERS FROM THE R1 OR R6, ARE THESE A STRAIGHT FIT? I WOULD BE INTARESTED TO HEAR OF ANY OTHER MODS I CAN MAKE USING PARTS FROM OTHER MODELS.

Hi, I live in Spain and have been offered a UK registered Yamaha TDM 850. Before I go ahead and bring it over..does anyone know if they were ever sold (homolgated) in Spain or were I might find out if they were.. Cos its a lot of hassle importing a bike into Spain..and if they were never sold here officially..then its virtually impossible to register it legally. Cheers, Harald.

I have recently bought a Yamaha TDM850 (2001 model) with a micron aftermarket exhaust fitted, my problem is that it at times of full throttle it backfires. I have recently had a full service at a main dealer who informed me that it is quite common with this model of bike!! I am still slightly concerned as I am getting mixed messages.. CAN ANYONE HELP? Trying to put yamaha tzr 250 wheels on my yamaha tdr 250,does any one no what spaces i need or were to get some

iv noticed my yamaha tdr has no petrol light how wud i no if in gna run out ?

hello all i no ive asked a few stupid questions in the past but at the min my tdr 125 has a problem and ive tried everyting to sort it new spark new oil different petrol cleaned air filther etc bt wen i start it and drive it easy till it warms up it still splutters if u get me till i hit 5 tousand rev then power ban kicks in and shes off is this normal or is there sumting wrng ? also how much gear oil goes into it thanks

wen useing my indicators the right side works perfect and flashes correctly but the left side stays on ?? any idea y ? the bike has bin lieing up for a wile and battery needs replaceing as it doesnt hold enuf charge to use electric start

The past few times I've took my bike out I've noticed a few dross of oil on the floor there would b a cupple of drips on the lower bar just under the gear leave on closer inspection i don't no weather its coming from the gear leave ..i.e gear linkage seal or if its humming from the small kog above the gear leaver . and advice and help on repair would b great . thanks

yet again yamaha has come up with a new idea likely to be a hit in future- the fly by wire throttle- the all new motor is fed with fuel by the revolutionary YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle) system. YCC-T is effectively a “fly-by-wire” intelligent injection/throttle control which enhances the power delivery of the machine and reduces fuel lag. you've got to hand it to yamaha,they've came out with some of the best inventions in motorbiking eg deltabox,exup,ypvs,monoshock,2 wheel drive(well maybe not best or widely used but different),5 valves per cylinder etc anyone think of any others?

As i am new to this forum i was hoping that someone out there will give me an honest opion on the Thunderace. I want to buy one after riding my brother-in-laws. What should i be looking for on a bike that has done 51000? Honest view please.
