hi everyone, I just put a new kick starter shaft in my G7 (same as the G6 and G6SB....I have no idea which one i have, but they're all the same.) as I'm reassembling the bike there in my driveway, I look down in horror, seeing a lone ball bearing laying there on the asphalt, and I have no idea where it could have come from! in the process of the repair, the motor stayed in frame, and I only had to remove the right crankcase cover. I've poured through my manual and every exploded parts diagram that bike bandit has to offer, and I've only found one ball bearing that is loose and on its own, and its in the oil pump....I knew about that one, and its s…

Unfortunately only from 1988 on but this appears to be yamaha europe , you go to site click on online parts catalogue get your bikes pars list up and you can select them and print an order from there and take it to your dealer , for those of you with newer bikes it maybe useful http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/information/parts-catalogue.aspx

Hi everyone, i am new to this site. i have a problem with my grizzly and am hoping that someone out there can help me fix it. I bought a 98 600 grizzly back in march and still havent gotten it running right. ive put 1000 bucks into it in parts alone, new clutch, coil, carb kit, etc, etc... the problem i am continuously having is the bike backfires and quits after it has heatened up and been riden for a few minutes.... after waiting a few minutes it will start up and run for a few more minutes before quiting again.... ive redone the carb, flushed out all the lines, changed coils, new battery, and so on. i dont think the cdi is bad, but i am running out of parts to change. …

Having fitted some Dr Bike heated grips to my last bike (a definite plus in our British climes for year round riding - especially at my age!) I'm wanting to get some heated grips fitted to my bike before I pick it up next week and haven't been able to find any reviews on the Yamaha ones as they just seem to be a bit 'neater' than the Dr Bike ones (if not x3 more expensive!) Any feedback would be greatly appreciated cheers David

Hi All, Don't know if you have seen this before but if your trying to identify your engine or frame then this seems the place to look, just type in your numbers or make and model and it tells you approx year of manufacture and the engine size, not a fully comprehensive list but pretty close and it can give you an idea about what your bike started out as. http://merrittmotorcyclesalvage.com/yamahaidentification.htm just follow the link and it's quite straight forward to get all the info your need. Ride safe.

Hi, Looking for some knowledge on my Maj. 250's exhaust hanger main bush (through which the rear wheel spindle passes). For recent MoT (new rear tyre) I removed tailpipe and hanger, and then noticed that the bush had quite a bit of movement / play where the rear spindle goes through, - links below to vids I put on Youtube. Both sides move against the rubber, - the fixed metal bush, and the removal one on the other face. Simple question - anyone know if it's designed to have some movement, or if it's just worn out? Thanks! https://youtu.be/y4GF1Fb5BHw https://youtu.be/EOB1UmcfPkk

I'm in Canada, we get some cold winters. I finally got my bike out a couple of weekes ago. Didn't ride it, got it cleaned and tuned. Let it run for awhile, no problems at the time. Go to the garage next day, I smell gas, I notice my exhaust pipes (1 side) have filled with gas! Help me... what did I do here? I took the plugs out, and pushed the bike to see if gas came out chamber. Everything looks fine and the bike still fires up? Help! I can't afford to lose my yammy! Thanks DouGaL
