Can a Yamaha chappy 50cc 2stroke go faster than 25 miles per hour I recently had everything restored or replaced. Are they just made to go that slow? Is there any restrictions i should know about or changing the exhaust? I am short on cash and need to save on the commute to work but i am willing to pay the extra to save. Please drop of any advice

Got my LB80 going, has a small petcock leak at the moment, going to remove it and get a simple on and off one. anyways, my max speed is 35mph, I plan to change the gearing (sprockets) but need to know if anyone has done this route before, I want to get a bigger sprocket in front and smaller one in the rear. What size can I fit in the case without using the dremel? cheers! also, what is the stock gearing of the LB80? I read somewhere it was 14 front 32 rear..

Rossi and Lorenzo both undertook a race simulation in the stifling Malaysian heat this afternoon to shake the 2014 M1 down over race distance. Four–time world champion Lorenzo was also happy having completed the three days. The Mallorcan made good progress during the riding sessions, managing to closely replicate the feeling of the 2013 bike whilst making the big reductions in fuel required for the 2014 season. Lorenzo completed the final day in third position, just 0.333 seconds from the front. The MotoGP paddock will return to Sepang on February 26th for the second official test of the year. Valentino Rossi 2nd / 1'59.727 “The test has been very good, I’m very…

Van Horebeek is finding an effective rhythm and feeling on the works YZ450FM and showed positive speed in just his second outing on the new motorcycle. The circuit at Noto was bumpy and technical but ‘JVH’ attacked the surface with confidence. Jeremy had to work in the first sprint to recover from a mid-top ten start but was able to find room past Todd Waters and other GP peers to reach second spot. A top three launch in the next moto put him right at the front from the get-go but Cairoli’s holeshot and pace on home turf was tough to match. “Overall another good weekend with some solid results,” evaluated Team Manager Mino Raspanti. “Jeremy improved his start in the s…

I took the SV to the local (to work) Yamaha dealer today for it's MOT. I had pre-booked for 12 but got there at 11 for a while you wait ticket. The main shop and the workshop are about 300 yards apart and it was a little difficult to find as it is above Kwikfit (strange but true). Sorted it straight away. Passed. £30 lighter. Scary slope out of the place. Recommended. CMC Nottingham LINKY

I loved my XJR1300sp 5 happy years of grunting around with a big smile on my face, I sold it to keep a promise. The promise was a TZR 50 for my son. In May this year the small end bearing failed, the damage was severe but normal. One new barrel, head, piston, rings etc. When we called Doug Dearden Yamaha (Southampton) for prices of spare parts, we were told " we'll give you a price if we can do the work". We were on a tight budget so, bollocks to them! Now my little 6'4" son has a car, so, time to polish the TZR for sale. We need a coolant bottle lid and a pair of bar-ends, so off he trots to ParkRoad Powerbikes (Southampton), he's told that coolant lids come in a pack …

Hi all, New to the forum and wanted to ask experienced Yamaha riders their thoughts on Yamaha Dealersihps/Service Dept's and used bikes. Preferably if you own a Yamaha over 7 yrs old do you have to perform all service/maintenance yourself? Long story short (sort of)... I wanted to start learning how to ride motorcycles & wanted to be mature & responsible about it. I signed up, took & passed our state MSF course and received license. While taking MSF I saw a used Yamaha Seca II on Craigslist for sale, spoke to my instructor in regards to this being a beginner type bike for me & after discussion decided to buy. Excited to have purchased my 1st…

I am having difficulty removing the handlebar top cover / fairing on a 2014 Delight 115 scooter. I have removed the visible screws from the sides and the bottom of the cover but it still appears firmly fixed. I do not want to damage the plastics so have not tried forcing it off. There do not appear to be any workshop manuals available for this model, I have found a couple of free downloads on-line but none are in English and the diagrams are of little use. If anyone has had any experience removing the cover I would be grateful for any tips.

Hello, I just bought a yamaha diversion xj600 1992. I have the following problem (or not!). There is a slight kicking sound when I start the engine. I googled that and I found that two cylinders might not work. Also, and that might be related, at low rpm (2-3000), the engine power has some fluctuations... Other than that it runs well. How can I find out if there is indeed a problem? how bad is to ride it like that? and is that a hard and expensive thing to fix? Thank you
