I've finally got my YA6 running. Took it for it test run. My transmission shift pattern is Neutral 1, 2, 3, 4 down. Is the correct? It shifts fine. I can't find any documentation about this. Thanks

Hey guys, My Dad has been given a Yahama TR1 VX1000 which is shaft driven, but he doesnt have an exhaust for it. We are trying to find one, but no-one in Australia seems to know what a TR1 is. Where can we get an exhaust from? or, will a Virago exhaust fit? Cheers, Luke

I was wandering around my local bike mechanic/dealer and found something very unusual. A big old air cooled 4 cylinder, sort of thing you'd expect to see in a Z1000, but it had a King and Queen seat, and had a semi cruiser style and a big tear drop tank. Poor thing looked like it had been laying on it'#s side in a shed for decades. Didn't have any identificatgion on it apart from a Yamaha badge on the tank. Kinda as if someone had stuck a 4 cylinder air cooled motor into an xs650 Does anyone have a single clue what it could have been?

After rebuilding my Genesis, I am now at the point where I am ready to start making her look pretty. Although the FZR600 is/was a fairly common bike, im seeing fewer and fewer parts for them, and lately simple things like a "clutch return spring" I had to get from a main dealership. So my next question is this really...... should I be looking to get a new full set of plastics, or just get the old ones repaired..... and where the HELL can I get a replacement set of pipes where they have the balancer's at the back of the Header down pipes? Side note, I am getting pretty annoyed with all the damn shops that keep asking me if its an EXUC...... or then telling me the eng…

hi i want to do a bit of work on my tank but i have no idea what the blue colour is- someone has touched up the dinks and scratches with hammerite by the looks of it and it now just looks messy. Any help will be most appreciated thanks Yamaha RXS100 1989, origional colour blue

Hi there ewerybody! My name is Sebastijan i come from Slovenia (Europe ) and i am a new owner of Yamaha TDM 850 (1999). I ride bikes for Years (i am 35 years old). On my first day with TDM i managed to get to the edge (on the tires).....so i guess it realy is "Funduro" as some people describe this bike. Having years of experience wit MX bikes help me a lot cause driving a TDM requires a combination of riding styles ( MX and Street ). Previously i rode Suzi RF 600 R - 105 HP, Kawi VN 1500 Classic - only 64 HP but 330 kilograms and some of the MX bikes. Best regards to all Sebastijan

hello there children of the corn, i was looking on ebay at bikes for want of a better word 'window shopping 'and i discoverd a lot of xs400's that have been altered to look like oldish school bobbers or cafe racer type looking machines they seam to fetch around the 900 quid margin and some of them look real nice a look that i would love to obtain,, i wondered if anyone has any experiance of these machines and how they are to handle ie.. do you need to be an experianced biker to ride one or are they to be considered a user friendly machine..if you get me...? also i was thinking the time will soon come for me to upgrade beyond the power of my 125 and go for a poss 250 or 40…

hello. I have a yamaha xt 125 x, and was wondering if anyone knows of any grounding wire to connect to the frame to make it more fit?

Just after a bit of advice, Just picked up a Yamaha 1100 dragstar, its pretty standard apart from the exhaust and lots of chrome. It seems to be running fine, its a 2005 with only 12k on the clocks. . . . one owner since new. when I crack the throttle open in a low gear, the engine note seems to change and the clutch appears to slip a little, the speedo rises, but after a few seconds of the bike roaring, the engine noise will subside and it will start to accelerate a little more aggressive than usual. standard test - like put the bike in top gear when rolling at 5mph doesn't seem to make it any worse or better, it still seems to slip and hesitate before pulling …

Hello everyone. Can someone recomend me online shop with parts for motorbikes ? I am looking for screw fixing left mirror. Aslo i have a question. I bought spedometer from ebay, probably is a not oryginal one. I replaced this one by myself, but now spedometer showing me 10 mph to much of speeding. Do you know how to fix this problem ? Hello, just joined --I wanted to know what the heck i'm doing wrong with the above trimoto. I rode the bike, it worked but noticed a "rattle" inside the motor, --it was the clutch-side main bearing. I took the engine apart, replaced both bearings and seals. put it back together and it won't start. i replaced the stator, the CDI, the plug, and it still won't run. Now i'm wondering if i got the piston in backwards?? the slots in the piston are turned toward the carburator side, the piston has an arrow on top and i pointed that toward the front tire. I spin the engine with a large drill and still it pops shoots a little fire out of the exhaust but still will not start---so,-…

I have contacted RS Paints to buy touch up paint for my 1981 XS400 blue tank. They do not have this colour registered for that bike and have said send them a sample flake but this is proving difficult to obtain does anybody know how to find the paint code please?
