So decide to Bobber my xv125 and currently looking at rear suspension, I know the Honda rebel 250 struts bolt straight onto the xv250 and I'm led to believe the xv125 and xv250 are the same bike just different engine bore and cdi unit, so if this is the case the rebel 250 shocks should also bolt straight onto my xv125, Anyone help with this ,

Could anyone advise me on the part number of the XV125 carb and whether its basically the same as the XV250 and XVs125???? My assumption being the only difference would probably be the jets?

Hi I've noticed that the xv250 virago is identical to the xv125 virago to look at (as far as I can see). Apart from the engine capacity are they essentially the same bike? And would parts be interchangeable between the two bikes? Thanks in advance, Wyn

Hi all, since I've got insomnia and I was going to post this anyway --you do NOT need to remove the carbs from an XV535 Virago in order to overhaul them. The carbs have been designed so that you can get the jets out from the rhs and the diaphragms on the lhs without having to take the carbs off the bike. I have overhauled the carbs on an XV535 and can vouch for this. You will need a torx drive for the diaphragm side ,but that's it. If you are in disbelief ,take a closer look at the bike or take it to an honest mechanic.

  11. Anyone on here ride a virago 535? I've just changed over from an MT03 660 single to the '96 virago and boy the suspension is... rough. I've never ridden cruisers before and while I get on with the bike quite well (and understand it's a totally different engine), it's the suspension that's giving me trouble (I've already changed the rear shocks for softer ones, checked the tyre pressue, and confirmed the forks are working just fine). Anyone have any experience riding both cruisers and tourers? My voice is shaking from the ride (when I speak to my husband over our headsets) and my shoulders are taking a beating. Is this just "how the virago is" when compared to other bikes?…

Im just wanting to know what you guys think of them and your own personal opinions are of them? also do you think £3500 is a bit much for an 2001 model?
