Hello again Project FZR 400 now has a rolling chassis. Red powder coated frame and wheels with Battlax tyres, black powder coated fork stantions, polished braced swinging arm. I'm dropping the engine in at the weekend. Does any body run the FZR 400 without a fairing? What headlamp? Can I get rid of the indicators I don't want a street-fighter look, more muscle-bike. Any suggestions would be grateful. Thanks Nigel

I'll tell ya, women can be cold until the end! The doctor, after an examination, sighed and said, 'I've got some bad news. You have cancer, and you'd best put your affairs in order.' The woman was shocked, but managed to compose herself and walk into the waiting room where her daughter had been waiting. 'Well, daughter, we women celebrate when things are good, and we celebrate when things don't go so well. In this case, things aren't well. I have cancer. So, let's head to the club and have a martini.' After 3 or 4 martinis, the two were feeling a little less somber... There were some laughs and more martinis. They were eventually approached by some of the wo…

This morning on the M6, I looked over to my left and there was a woman, in a brand new Porsche 911, doing 70 miles per hour with her face up next to her rear view mirror, putting on her eyeliner I tell ya!! I looked away just for a couple of seconds... and when I looked back she was halfway over in my lane, still working on that makeup... As a man, I don't scare easily, but she scared me so much, I dropped my electric shaver, which knocked the meat pie out of my other hand. In all the confusion of trying to straighten out the car using my knees against t…

The bikes in the garage! nice and dry, ones in the living room even dryer, bikes in the wooden shed! nice and usually covered in condensation(in proper cold) used a oil filled radiator still got wet, last winter left um without heater still did it, shed has ventilation and is water tight. My fear of the eight legged critters far out weigh the possibility of using covers( I am a girl) have heard containers of salt but the thought of salt does not ring true(salt/corrosion). It never really creates any major headaches(yet) just wish it would't do it poor bikes!!! Any fantastic ideas out there??

Hey folks! Sorry not been posting on here much recently, jobhunting was a pain but back to work now which is much better. Anyway - added another Yam to the stable last week when i bought my oldest son a PW50 for his upcoming birthday! Looked around usual sources (ebay, gumtree etc) & found one tucked away in a womans garage. Usual story, kids outgrown blah blah blah. It was a bit rough cosmetically but started on the first kick. So i gave her buttons for it & brought it home! Nice parcel of bits arriving tomorrow to fix any issues & tidy the cosmetics but still works out as a bargain. Hope junior likes it - but he's already bike mad so fingers c…

As we're all approaching wooly long-john season and another cold winter, I was just wondering what tips anyone has for keeping their bikes protected from the elements overnight ? My bike sits on the driveway and sadly I don't have a garage (yet) & will have to make do with the driveway for at least this winter. Just worried that the ol' bike covers won't do the trick. Any help (as always) would be much appreciated.

At the start of April my beloved FZR was stolen from off my drive-way. I was absolutely gutted and the police came back with the usual, nothing. But now I've been out and purchased a new bike, technically its used but to me its new. I am now the proud owner of an R reg Thundercat. Anyone got any tips for the bike? Also, anyone know any cheaper security items, preferably alarmed d-locks, chains etc? I know that I should put more value into the security but now I've bought the bike I'm skint and I need something now.

Just treated myself to a new lid, the old one was showing its age. Padding losing its grip and the material around the base and the straps was showing its age. Its been everything from red hot in the summer (?) sun to frozen shut (the visor) in the freeze. And of course wet, very fucking wet at times. As well as nearing 6 years old. So its making way for a Shark Evoline 3, the new one. VERY nice. Fits lovely (Well the one i tried in the shop near me before i went ebaying), glasses seem ok, time will tell on that. Best bit, with some haggling and some internet time i got over 70quid off. Come on Mr postman..............
