Ok, mk 2 post. After having to use the bike early last year due to car issues my front wheel is suffering from white death, add that to a worn front tyre and well, you know....So I'm ooking at replacing the wheels in the tdr, the wheels I fancy (Aprilia Yspokes/6spoke) have bigger bearings and I have got hold of the dimensions from tdr.co.uk for the Cagiva mito which is pretty much the same axle kit, certainly use the same bearings. Won't know for rock steady certain till I actually have the wheels if these dimensions are right for the RS and if anybody has an idea to what kind of costs would the spacers/bushes be. Would be nice to have an idea before getting t…

Hi there, i've got me a kitch little blue YBR 125 and i'm not overly fond of the cornering, i have Michelin pilots on, but it's just not enough. I'm considering swapping out the standard wheels for that on YZF R 125 but i'm not sure what i'd need to attend to; comparability with the front brake callipers,, spindle diameter, forks as well as getting rear brakes from a YZF to fit the rear wheel. Has have they done it before or could anyone shed any light on this? Thank you -Kash

Hello all, Looking for a Yamaha expert on wheels, can anyone tell which Yamaha bike these wheels are from. Both 17 inch, front 3.00 and rear 3.50 wide. This seems to be the standard colour and they are on a 1980 Moto Martin. http://www.photobox.co.uk/slideshow?album_...o_id=1898623397 Thanks Goss

Do you look the drivers in the eye when they are at a junction just to make sure that they've seen you? The scary thing is that sometimes, people look in your direction and they don't even see you......I had that done to me during my DAS lesson but I knew the driver was gunna pull out so I managed to stop in time!

Hey peeps, There's been something brewing in the depths of my skull for a while now, and it came out in conversation with some lads at the pub last week. basically, ive been planning a project for the past year or so, and now i've gotten rid of one of my old minis im more likely to be able to do it, i want to find a pre-1972 bike (probably a CZ or Honda CB as they are cheap and plentifull) and use its frame as a basis for a custom built tax-exempt toy with an inline twin engine of around 500cc, spoked wheels with retro cafe-racer styling. So, say for example i got myself a 1971 CB250 and used its frame and V5 as my base, all the other parts will either be handmad…

Can anyone let me know the difference between a Diversion and a non Diversion?I have a '97 600n that Im trying to scource parts for and there appears to be some confusion(or is it just me?).Ive seen bikes of around this era that are or seem to be identical to mine described as a Diversion and others with slight body mods and twin front discs also described as one.I was trying to get a fender extender and the guy on the phone couldnt tell me if the ones they had advertised would fit. Any clarity on this would be most useful.Thanks. Tony.

When People Point .... My Black R6 generates much pointing and visual admiration as I pass by people on the street, in their cars, on the bus .... What's the coolest, least arrogant response to admirers like them? Nod, rev it, thumbs up, floor it, wheelie, ignore them.... ? How do you respond?

Yes, yes, there are more ways to skin a rabbit, lubing your cables-Yamaha recommends that you lube your bike cables every 4000 miles , and of course most of you will be 'adhering' to your Yamaha owners manuals anyhoo, here's a gadget that some of you might consider adding to your growing arsenal of 'kit', everyone has their own way of doing things-here's just another option available. Its 'medical kit' in essence, so if any Y-O-C members have access to this stuff (Goff its in the operating theatre and accute trauma side of the hospical )- then obviously you can make your own. Its re-usable-should last a lifetime-requires no dismantling of cable …

hopefully, nobody has been there, but it can happen to anyone i recently ran out of engine RIGHT AFTER my 4000 mile service. i had ridden the YBR home, got changed, and set off to work. the bike stalled strangely as i accelerated away from a set of lights (didnt stop moving), started the bike up again, then lost all power 200 yards later. then i was stuck on a 50mph road, just after a roundabout, with high kerbs keeping me from bumping up, and no drop kerb for another 100 yards. i decided that the engine was in fact dead, and pushed it to the nearest drop kerb (not behind me at the roundabout, i want forward 100 yards), made a couple of calls, then set off home, …

Hi! Am looking to buy my first bike, passed my test a few months ago, decided to get it done before the test changes. Am looking to get a Fazer 600, the underseat exhaust model, but am on a budget at the moment due to having to pay the bloody council tax and car insurance, doh! Is it worth waiting till the winter to find a bargain or does that not change the price of bike much? Cheers James
