as we have lots of polish registered cars on our roads now, i think it is only fair that they pay the proper road tax and have safety checks like mot done on their cars. they don't pay congestion charges, parking fines and get away with almost everything that us brits cannot. so please click on the link and sign the petition to the PM Gordon Brown. please get friends and family to sign too http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/exciseduty/

Being new to this club, I hope I'm posting this in the right place. The riding year has not been good to me thus far. My 87 Venture has developed some sort of issue with the clutch, and since I can't really afford to have it taken into the garage, I've been hammering away at it on my own for way too long now. In short, I'm getting desperate. Grabbing and releasing the clutch handle seems to have no affect on the actual clutch. I've rebuilt the master cylinder up at the handlebar end, and the actuator down at the motor end. I've bled the line until my fingers are turning blue, with no fix yet. I've scanned the line from top to bottom, and can see no leaks at all…

  9. I have had a passengers boots start to melt and leave residue on my pipes just below their foot pegs. Didn't know what it was at first, but finally figured it out. It is EXTREMELY hard to get it off. The only think I have found was easyoff oven cleaner, but obviously its very caustic. Any body else experience this? Have suggestions on how to remove it? Will the easyoff eventually damage the chrome? Thanks in advance.

The late Pope John Paul II was standing at 'the gates' discussing things with St Peter. Behind St Peter was a huge wall with an enormous number of clocks on it, and the Pope was inquisitive about these clocks. Said Peter, "These are lie clocks. Everyone alive and dead has a lie clock, and each time they tell a lie one second is added to the clock. So when they come up here we know whether the person is also telling us fibs to get in". The Pope thought this was a great idea, so he asked to see his clock. Sure enough, the hands were stuck on midnight never having moved. The Pope had never told a lie in his life. A couple of clocks to the left were a clock with the…

The Value of a Drink "Sometimes when I reflect back on all the wine I drink I feel shame. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the vineyards and all of their hopes and dreams .. If I didn't drink this wine, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this wine and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver." ~ Jack Handy WARNING: The consumption of alcohol may leave you wondering what the hell happened to your bra and panties. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I feel sorry for people who don't drink…

Hi Everyone I'm sorry to spam the forums but it is for a genuine cause. I am climbing Mount Kilimanjaro on the 1st September 2007 to raise money and awareness for the Amani Children's Home. I will also be visiting the Amani home in Moshi, Tazania, which sits at the bottom of Mount Kilimanjaro. Where I will spend time with the children who will benefit from the money donated. The Amani Children's Home rescues children from the perils of life on the streets in Tanzania, who face a high risk of HIV transmission and malnutrition. Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the largest freestanding mountain in the world (world’s fourth highest peak). It's…

I have taken my 07 1100 and bought a new Cobra 2 into 1 HP Pro exhaust system with a hypercharger and stinger. Of course I am having engine rejetted for this mod. Has anyone else tried this configuration? If so how is it working out? I am curious to see if there will be a performance increase. Also I hear that the engine is governed electronically. Does anyone know of a computer replacement to remove this governor. Thanks in advance Jim

Hi all, just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself even though I have already posted. I have a 2007 Vstar 1100 Silverado. I am in the process of making the following modifications: Cobra 2 into 1 HP Pro exhaust, hypercharger w/stinger. I plan to make a few more mods. One get rid of the computer module that governs the engine, and going to put some hard bags on it vice the leather that came stock. Anyways I live in Honolulu Hi, and ride most days rain or shine. I am in the military in my 21st year right now with plans of retirement next May. At that time I will return to the lovely state of florida. Tampa more specifically. If anyone has similar in…
