I passed my car test with flying colours, but, that was 6 years ago... Has anyone else done the hazard perception section on here? What is it like? I got a DVD with Suzi Perry in it, but, not looked at it yet... Wish me luck...

Just a quick post to say hi, I'm 17 in March and have just ordered a YBR 125 and CBT for my first bike I'm also looking to do my proper bike licence so I get on a bigger bike. Any riders from Stoke on Trent in the UK here?

Hi all, just joined here, and just bought a 2008 ybr 125, having done cbt at age 46 (fellow trainees aged 17-24, and all much more competent). Scary ride home from the shop, several stalls, two involuntary wheelies. Since then (last thu) have just practised throttle and clutch control round local streets. I'm probably a bit unusual having never owned a petrol vehicle before, but have cycled since age five. Plan to get out into the countryside around Newcastle soon, and swotting up for theory test.

I wasn't really trying to push my 2005 R6 to it's limit, but on a clear French road, one day last year, I did find myself doing 144mph. By no means was I at it's 16,000 rev limit...and I only stopped at 144mph because I ran out of clear road. Have you redlined your R6, and how fast were you going? How fast will my 2005 R6 go, in your opinion?

Long story short, bad work injury at 17 ripped the big deltoid muscle in my back, yes ouch. Sorry, fing ouch. So neck movement is limited as far as up and down is concerned. Secondly i maybe could have been a little kinder to myself as a kid and as a result my knees dont like being cramped up. You can see where this is going can't you. I bought the suzuki cos my neck could never handle a super sports and i dont like naked muscle bike stuff. Trouble is last year i put more miles on the DT than the suzuki as i would sooner take that cos its easier and more fun!!! Well as a result of that ive been looking for something to replace the suzuki with cos my neck is being …

Your Driving Licence - Beware IS YOUR DRIVING LICENCE STILL VALID? Unwitting motorists face £1,000 fines as thousands of photo card driving licences expire. Thousands of motorists are at risk of being fined up to £1,000 because they are unwittingly driving without a valid licence. They risk prosecution after failing to spot the extremely small print on their photo card licence which says it automatically expires after 10 years and has to be renewed - even though drivers are licensed to drive until the age of 70. The fiasco has come to light a decade after the first batch of photo licences was issued in July 1998, just as they start to expire. Motoring org…

I was looking on tinternet today and loved the look of the XT660r. This drew me to the TDM 850 and how I used to love the look of the bike. The question is, what are they like? Especially for a short ar*e. I know about cutting seats and lowering kits but general views would be welcome. BTW the DT is NOT for sale. Cheers

. If you are ever called a couch potato because you are not moving ... the reality is as follows: . 1: The earth is moving within an expanding universe at roughly sixty six billion miles per hour 2: The earth on the edge of the milky way galaxy rotates in galactic orbit at two million five hundred and eighty thousand miles per hour 3: The earth rotates around the sun at sixty six thousand miles per hour 4: The earth rotates at upon its own axis at 900 mph . Thus while sitting upon that couch you are actually travelling at .... Sixty six billion, two hundred and sixty four million, six thousand and nine hundred ... miles per hour . Thus it is not what is actual…

Hi all, just bought myself a black / silver 2006 DT125R SM. Less than 3000 miles on the clock. This is my first ever bike. Still not rode it as it's on the reserve and I need to get a wee petrol can to put some juice into it. It's got a DEP exhaust and a front brembo brake. Will get some pictures up tomorrow and hopefully be taking my first ride!

Hi guys and girls, After 6 weeks of waiting for the cogs to turn far enough for the DVLA to spit out a new provisional licence and send it via second-class post to me, I was finally able to take my CBT, insure and tax my bike and get it on the road yesterday! I've done close to 100 miles on it today, drove into London went for a little toot around and then blatted back down the A316 to Weybridge... found out that my beast of a 125 Drag refuses to go faster than 55mph, but then at 6'3 and 17st I'm not the lightest or most aerodynamic of lumps for it to shift. Been great so far, just wanted to let everyone know that I'm very happy I chose to free myself from publi…

"Caps either work or they don't" Ha, famous last words
