Hi, Does anyone know how to remove the case on a 1981 DT175MX speedo? I’ve been told it’s possible to open them up for repairs. Speedo not working at present. Speedo cable rotating going into speedo but no movement on needle. Thanks

Hi, I've purchased two damaged bikes off Ebay and have built a bike from their parts, apart from buying a replacement frame from Germany that came complete with the necessary papers. I have checked on the Government website and both the bikes show up with the registration details. What are the procedures for registering the new build which included one of the original engines? I am really against having to have the Dreaded "Q" plate. Can anyone help?

Hi Everyone, Bought an old SR125 project that had been off the road. Long story short, it's just about having my life 😂 with not starting. It's got good compression, got fuel, got spark (possible issue) and everything else seems good. I have bare bone wired it, to cut out out the sidestand, neutral and relays but no difference. Bike cranks but won't catch, it gets spark but seems strong first fire then not so strong. Battery is good and new so ruled that out. Pick up coils are good. Soooo I keep coming back to the CDI unit but I they are like hen's teeth. Could the CDI be bad but still giving a spark. Anyone used an aftermarket CDI unit?

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has converted a pre-1999 SR125 (mines a 1998) to the post 1999 chrome speedo, which I think looks much better? Have been doing some research into it and from what I can see from the schematics, the top steering yolk looks completely different between the two models. Not sure the '99 ver will fit my '98. Has anyone done this, is it possible? Many thanks, Clive

Got all sorts of crittical failure messages this morning. You can at least log in and send / receive PM's and even look at the post titles but you can't look at any threads or start any. I hope it's not terminal or likely to take long to fix... J

Well i have brought an old Mk3 Golf 16v, cant believe how slow it is compared to my old Mk2. But anyway was cheap and needed a car, now its been pi$$ing it down everyother day. To get to the point for the insurance to be valid for theft, i need to provide a VSIB certificate to prove i have an alarm fitted. The car has a clifford concept 300, but i dont have the certificate and do not know who fitted it. I spoke to my local clifford dealer and they tell me they cant issue me a new installation certificate because the no longer make that alarm. But the insurance company say it doesnt matter i just need to provide proof i have one. And they will only take a VS…

Great to see Nitro Nori back in the hunt for some WSB points with a podium finish in the 2nd race @ Silverstone today! Pulled off a 4th in the 1st race due to a fuel delivery prob.........but got the holeshot in the 2nd race & ended up getting a 3rd when the checkers came out Also interesting to see the Ducati boyz give Corser some grief @ the front too.

Hi Guys This is probably a complete waste of time cos the bike is either in bits or on a boat to another country but............. ..........hubby has had his R1 stolen from SE London whilst visiting family. Very unusual and customised. Has a high level MIG exhaust, blue white and grey spray job, modified rear end which exposed the undertray and with built in indicators and tail tidy. On a Y plate (2001) If anyone hears anything please could you let us know.............worth a try. Cheer Guys Boova

I have a 2004 model silver R6 that was registered in Jan 05. I have had a high level Micron Exhaust put on, Micro Indicators, Rea Seat Cowl, Tail Tidy, R6 Heel Plates. The bike has only done 450 miles and in showroom condition as it has been garaged. I have all of the original bits to go with it too. I also have a private plate on it that I am thinking of selling separately – R6 0ABE which reads R6 BABE. Anyone know roughly how much I could sell them for? Haven’t ridden the bike in 3 months and don’t want it to rot in the garage. Cheers
