Hello all, Just inherited a '68 YAS1C, frame # AS1-301829. Rusty, but complete. Manual ordered, restoration to start this winter. One item i know I will need is the upper portion of the throttle cable. Anyone know where I can get one, or a suitable substitute? Thanks,

Hi guys. Got a DT 125 MX for a project. The previous owner bored it, not sure how far oversize he went though. he also fit a ktm racing muffler and cone filter. It's suffered 33 years of abuse, so I plan to do a full engine rebuild. Parts aren't difficult to find, neither was the Haynes manual... but a parts catalogue is, I can only find the one for the liquid cooled model.. Does anyone know where I can find one? I'd like to be able to search for parts by their number to avoid compatibility issues. Does anyone have/ know where I can get a parts catalogue? Also, it's moody when it comes to starting, I think its running rich on both jets, for these reasons: 1) i can …

Right, my front brake is sized on, it seems to be stuck about 25-30% on, I got it running after a while out of the game due to MOT and money problems and went to the shop the get fuel, the fuel had been sitting in the bike for close to 2 months so it needed some new stuff before the 10 mile trip I had to make. But the bike wouldn't move properly, I got to the fuel station, put it on the centre stand and checked, the front brake was stuck on a little bit, and the brake disk was so hot that when I put a few drops of water onto it they boiled before I could withdraw my hand. So, half way through the calliper rebuild I find myself with no idea which brake fluid the bike nee…

Got bored and while mooching around Android looking for cheapo Motorcycle helmet speakers, found a rechargeable, Stereo Headset with full Android and iPhone compatible Pairing with good reviews at £12. Here's a link Link to cheapo headset It looked like it might fit, so I bought one - after all, if it all went pear-shaped I would be down a bit over a tenner, if not . . . Here's the result We stab it with our steely knives, Then we smash it all to bits! (Apologies to Smash). It came apart pretty easily, the wires linking the speakers and battery across the headband were pretty ta…

My ignition barrel is wearing out, it keeps getting stuck in the locked position, one day it's just gonna get stuck like that, it needs to be replaced. I'm wondering how much it'll cost, anyone else had there's replaced? The bikes a YBR Custom if that helps. I was going to do it myself like I do everything else, turns out they use fucking shear bolts to hold them in.

Has anybody got blind spot mirrors fitted? Been on motorway loads of times but this week on the M4 I thought what a difference it would make to have blind spot mirrors rather than craning my neck every time I wanted to overtake a Porsche vehicle.

Hello I'm just wondering if anyone could help me as I was riding my Yamaha Xt125x the other day and it randomly decided to bog out and die. I thought it might be because I was a little low on fuel and was riding with the choke on at the time. After a bit of fiddling I have managed to get it started fine (with kick start only) but then 20mins later I tried again and the button start worked and started first time so I've rode home and locked it away for the night but when I went out the next morning there was nothing and wouldn't start on either kick start or button start all the lights are on but when you use the button start they all dim maybe even go out and something (a…

There are two tyres, one is 300-18, and the other is 3.00-18. What does that actually mean? Are they the same? Are they different? What's the difference between a 300 and a 3.00? This is probably a stupid question, but everyone learns somehow.

Hi all, I'm thinking of getting an xv950r or xv950, but the clock is really putting me off as it's ugly, useless and doesn't suit the bike. Gas anyone also found this, and knows if the clock can be changed for a speedo with tach and indicator displays, fuel gauge etc. Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Weather not so good, but was at least cool. Some RD350`s..GT750`s and Aprilias..among others. Camera bike is an RDLC. Pity the RD500`s didn't come with this time. Hope you enjoy.

Its petty but this time of year is always fun, people blow the dust off their bikes and go out for a wobble. They all seem to think i'm riding a 125 (nowhere does my bike state its a 250), so I get a polite sad smile that says 'you can have a proper bike like mine one day'. Then they trundle away only to find said little 125 is all over them. Most will pull up for a natter about bikes and bullshit but some get the arse and feck off.. Later in the year it doesent work so well as the wobblers are up to speed but I still catch a few.
