Hiya peeps as work progresses on the DT project i have decided to run it on an different set of original wheels whilst i take my time and restore the others, wheres the best place(s) to get the rims rechromed? and aside from using a DTI what methods of reassembling the wheels do you reccomend?

right so a few months ago now my dt seized up on me in the fields doing a little greenlaning, the throttle went rearly heavy and cut out, the kick was really hard to kick, like was really stiff, it started but shortyl died and was jammed stuck,??(the kick start) but could get it back in neutral no problem, after strippin it down i then tried takiin the engine out the frame but the swinagrm pivot bar was jammed, so i thought id jus strip the head and barrell of while i gave the bolt a good long soakin, barrell came of really nice wasnt stuck at all, then came the wacks wit the hammer and flametorch, unsuccesful was the out come :'[, and then for some reason i grabbed hold …

Im in need of a needle valve seat for my carb but a few places want 50 for it how ever i ve found a float valve kit on yambits g For a lot cheaper id get the needle that conecta yhe to the float and the thing the needle goes into also a o ring my question is are theaae the same thing Sent from my GT-S5360 using Tapatalk 2

Hi Does anybody know the paint code for my 1979 DT175? The bikes been painted black, but I want to return it to its original blue. I've found lists of Yamaha paint codes, but I don't know which blue is correct for the bike. I've been told that this colour was only used for the 1979 bikes, not sure if that's true. Any advice would be appreciated.

My Yamaha (shaft drive) seems to have a strange problem that I noticed the other day, up til about 30 - 40 mph when i pull in the clutch i can feel this "dit-dit-dit" bumpiness the i THINK is coming from the front but resonates throughout the entire bike. It is very slight but so irritating, I took it to one garage they said it's fine, then another who removed the front wheel, re-did the inner tube alignment and added a weight to it .. but it's still there. I thought it may be the engine, so I turned the bike off and went down a hill in neutral, still there clear as day, I have removed the front fender, the tool roll and nothing rubbing against the wheel. Hello today i picked up a rare 1983 yamaha rx50 in red. Anyone got any info on these bikes as there is not much info about them on the web. as far as i know they made less than 2000 of them and you couldnt actually buy them they were given away by way of a raffle. One was given to each dealer by yamaha as a way of creating showroom traffic as far as i know it was only in america cheers.

I have a 1972 at1c that i have completely gone thru. the only prob is that there are two nipples on the carb(not including fuel intake nipple) and I do not know where they are supposed to be routed with hose to. 1 is on the top end of carb and the other is on the lower portion. I really appeciate the help.

HI there all, i have a H reg DT 50 MX The bike starts and i can ride for a few miles then dies and wont start again. ive stripped carb and cleaned and cleaned valve float needle and cleaned spark plug and there is a a spark. can anyone help

Hi Ive recently bought a very low mileage 1989 rxs100 and have only ridden it less than 1/2 a mile but it seemed a bit sluggish. I've found the airbox has been butchered to fit a cone filter and holes drilled all over it. ( looking for a complete 1 if anyone has ) The carb however hasn't been jetted to suit as its still running a standard 120 main. The main issue I've got is I've dropped the gearbox oil and its full of fuel!. I take it the reason will be the right hand crank seal ? I've stripped this out and a new 1 is on its way. I've stripped the left hand casings off and theres no sign of fuel behind the flywheel. Can I take it this side seal is ok. I'm thinking of …

So I'm ordering some new handle bars and was going to order a new set of grips. Now what am I looking for ? Just 2 standard grips or is there more to it then just standard grips
