Hi folks. Trying to use the bike daily for as long as possible before conceding defeat for the winter. Any recommendations for good tyres for this kinda weather? I ride rural / main roads to work.

Hey folks Belated happy new year to everyone! Time to treat the VTR to some new Tyres, need something that's well suited to everyday commuting on rural roads. Currently running Dunlop Sportmax which are good - after they're warm. I prefer something bit more predictable, must be getting old!!! Any recommendations? Budget is a problem as always too. Standard size is 180/55 r17 rear, 120/65 r17 front. Thanks

Hi All, I bought my 99 Fazer FZS 600 about a week ago and will be commuting about 30 miles daily on it - both dry & wet weather. I'm getting her serviced and suspect new tyres are needed due to tread wear. Any suggestions about what I should go for as I'm totally ignorant in this area. I'm also married with 4 hampsters so anything costing more than the price of a kidney is a non starter Cheers .

Hi guys, Im after some advice please. Had a service done last week on my fazer 600s, nearly two years old and already up to 9500 miles on it....wooo hooo. Anyway, was told that i would need a new rear tyre soon, about a thousand miles left on it, even though there`s loads of `meat` on it, the middle is starting to wear thin apparentley, so, my question, whats the average millage on tyres anyway? Also, do i have to have the front one changed at the same time, even if there is nothing wrong with it? And finally, sprockets? whats the recomended milage before change, i know theres things to consider like condition and `mad riding` but just a rough idea as to how long…

Hi, has anyone tried a 70 profile on the front of an 2002 R6, I need new tyres and the 60 profile is often more expensive or not available. Please I know tyres are black and round and there is one on the front and one on the back.

Can any one recommend a good place in Kent / Sussex area for tyres as some F*CK HEAD has slashed my front tyre Running Pirelli's at the moment but looking on the web they want £999 for both (Yeah like F*ck) 100/90-18 front and 120/90-18 rear, any help welcome. I'm getting both done as rear looks like it will need replacing soon anyway. THANK YOU

Hey peeps after leaving the XJ for many months sat in the car park on itsforks with no front wheel, i have finally bought a new tyre for it, its a Continental. and after many cups of tea, lots of shouting and swearing and a few tyre levers me and my dad managed to get the old michelin pilot sporty off and this new continental on, but what a fight it put up! the michelin was soft and squishy, and putting that on didnt take half as long as this new tyre did, the continental is much stiffer and appears to be made of a harder compound. my question is this, how would this new harder tyre affect handling, tyre life e.t.c HERE is the tyre i got, TK11

Hi, my mate has a 2002 R6 and needs new tyres. He doesnt have access to the net, what do you recommend for all round usage. Im thinking Dunlops but he got told by a RR rider to go for bridgestones. Mainly country road blasting than motorway or out. Thanks

The tyres on my max are dead, im thinking Michelin pilot road 5 is the one to go with but it looks a bit naff, works well though. The Pirelli angel st looks the nuts, but have no idea if its any good mileage wise as max's destroy tyres at the best of times. The (dying) pr3's i have on spin at the first opportunity. Wondering what you guys with the big bikes prefer, Jimmy, slice, Dutch etc as they will be close tyre abuse wise. Cheers

I'm trying to rustle up some interest in racing the TZ 350 in the ICGP - we still have to find some cash to make the first round in Spain. Loads of people are always searching Ebay for bike and racing related stuff, so to catch their eye and use Ebay as a promotional tool I've put up the chance to be a supporter as an Ebay item. Click here to see it. Includes of short video of our recent test at Brands. However, if you do want to support our ICGP race efforts, you can do it direct via my website and that'll save me the Ebay fees! Cheers. Mike.
