    I've seen this thread a few times around the internet, but here's a question for you, is it possible to fit the front footpeg bar (with the side stand) on a 2006 model?     The bulb in my XVS1100 blew the other week. I picked up a cheapy replacement and it blew almost straight away. It was only £1.99 from The Range, so I put it down to being a cheap and nasty bulb, and the bike being a thumper, the vibrations. Bought a decent one (OSRAM Night Racer Plus H4). This lasted a day before breaking (both main and dipped). I have of course been ultra careful when fitting them to not touch the glass etc. Fitted a 3rd bulb and will see what happens, Is there something else I should be looking at? Thanks.

    just purchased my first bike(well for over 20 years anyway)..an 2012 xj6 n in white. problem is it came with hand protectors on and I had to remove one to get the bike in my shed(ended up dismantling the shed and purchasing a bigger one) any way ive tried re fitting the hand guard back on and the long threaded bar that secures it is just turning in the handle bar im assuming theres a back nut of sorts that is now in my handle bar somewhere that needs to be retrieved?? there is a part that is wedged in the end of the handle bar though, ive give it a light pull but is not moving,i didn't want to force it too much incase its not supposed to come out... a…

Anyway now back with mullered lock cant use cant start or do anything, aargh!     i was just wondering if any 1 could help me i receantly brought a yamaha sr125 on a 94 reg but noticed the other day oil dripping under the engine anyway traced it to the air filter box and when i opened it there was quite alot of oil in there what could be corsing this and is it a major problem if any 1 could let me know that would be great

    Hi everyone can you please help I am in danger of stripping my x-max down to parts. I am trying to do the simple task of replacing the headlights on my 2006 x-max yp250r. I have removed the Cowling from the front of the scooter as directed in the service manual (2 scews at the top and one at the bottom)this does allow me to get my hand in to touch the wire connecting to the bulb but this does not seem to provide enough access to change the bulb, I am therefore assuming I have not removed all of it. Has anyone out there done this and can they confirm that you need hands like a 5 year old to access and change the bulbs or have I just not removed what I should have. Pl…

    So winters starting to truly set in now. Weathers getting wetter and ice in the mornings. I ride every day without fail. Always try and keep the bike clean. Noticed my front forks and disk brakes are starting to show slight bits of rust. The bikes brand new. Got it from local dealer in Sept/Oct. Is there anything I should be applying/spraying on? Something to prevent this or clean it? She's kept in the garage overnight and at work I always throw over a rain cover. Anyone able to help? Hope everyone has a good new years!

    Hi guys please help me iv got a dt 125 1999 and its got a running issue theres 2 issues i think 1stly the bike would tick over but when i ride it i get 300 meters then bike cuts out almost asif being starved of fuel so i cleaned carb today and put back together now bike only runs with choke on but its revving its knackers off i did take inlet off and toon reed valves out aswell can any1 help me

  17. Hello guys, recently I have purchased a 1980 Yamaha DT175. So I wanted everything to be legit interms of maintaince and ownership so I downloaded the owners manual. As I was reading through I reached the page that mentioned the 'Machine Identification'. So since I'm pretty sure my bike is a DT175, the manual says to check the serial which is stamped on the right hand side of the headstock assembly which is also the same number on the engine. So if its a DT175 it should start with 2A7-XXXXXX and if its a DT125 it starts with 2A6-XXXXXX. So I went and checked my bike for the codes. Neither the frame nor the engine showed a code close to what is listed in the manual. …

    hello all, im in australia but someone on here might be able to help,i have recently aquired 2 yamaha 100cc twostroke bikes both in rather sad states of repair ,i recocnised the style from when i was a kid to be yb100s. but the frame number starts with L2 then numbers both the engine numbers match the frames i think they are maybe 60s bikes and not 70/80s of which i remember they are pretty much in pieces so i will post some picks when i put one together and see if it goes ,compression is good so should go any pdf workshop manuals knocking about for these things ? any help will be apreciated, also to aussie members here there is no copliance plate on either bike and n…

    Hi, I hope someone would be able to help me. I have an 06 DTR 125 and the Oil light comes on constantly when the engine is hot, the oil tank is full. I have noticed it seems not to use a lot of oil. could it be a blocked oil pipe? if so what sort of job is it to take apart and clean. Thanks
