Have to report the theft of my baby, 2000(x) blue R1, 5JJ, immaculate, owned from new. Lifted from my parking bay in Kings Langley, Herts. Haven't ridden her for a year due to heart problems and surgery and was looking forward to a mega-trip next Summer. Hope theres a guilt ridden thief out there who might take pity or know the whereabouts of her. I wouldn't expect them to be on here but just in case, who knows? contact me on here if theres any news or Hemel Hempstead/Watford Police station. In spite of this pain in the arse hope everyone has a safe and fab Xmas and a Happy New Year...... Take care all, best wishes, Tony.

It is completely WHITE, has an Acerbis long range tank, Aluminium rims, stainless spokes with TKC's fitted, Ohlins rear shock, aluminium bash plate, Renthal gold handlebars and Barkbusters handguards (White). Dear All My first post. Thanks for your posts on R1 fuse box, it helped me re-wire my bike after some fucker nicked it last week. Thank God for Tracker and the Essex police. However, my steering lock and ignition barrel are broken. So Im guessing new ones of those plus petrol cap and keys. Im not a mechanic, or technically minded. Just passionate about bikes. 1)Can someone tell me exactly which parts I need for my R1 07 to get it back on the road (as u can now start it with anything)? 2)Why cant I find these items on ebay/forums? There must be crashed bikes out there. 3)It didnt have an alarm, so im guessing no immobiliser. Could a thief like mine jump on, …

Is there anything I can do to improve my balance when stopping and taking off? It always seems as though I need to go back and fourth when slowing down and taking off to keep secure balance on the bike. I was using one foot to balance but now am starting to use both feet when coming into a stop for better balance. I guess I am asking what most people are using for the best combination of braking and balancing when stoping and taking off. I have been riding for a couple months now and am trying to refine the smoothness in this process; it's a lot harder then what most non-bikers think! I have a 77 500 xs with vertical controls. Thanks guys.

Hey all. This is going to sound like such a strange question to say the least, so bare with me if I sound totally boneidol Do you think a YBR can be driven up a couple of shallow stairs? The reason I'm asking this is because I have no garage or diveway, so I need to keep the bike at the side of my house. Once it's through the gate, I haven't got a problem. But.. My side of the street is raised up above the road slightly (I tried to upload a picture from google street view but I can't get it to work). There is a small grassy slope, and then 2 steps from the road in front of everyone's gate. The steps are a few inches in height each, there are 2 steps and it's about 3…
