Trying to find out how many XS650 twins (1970-83) were manufactured. I've heard the number is approximately 500,000 but haven't been able to confirm that figure through a reliable source. Has anybody seen any production figures from a reliable source? Or, better yet, does anybody know how to get them from Yamaha?

Odd problem: I have a 2004 YFZ 450, recently I changed the oil and filter and now the oil is being pumped into the motor too fast and filling crank case and sucking reservior tank dry. Any suggestions as to what is or is not working pro perly? I have racked my brain out trying to figure out this odd problem.

Arfternoon folks, I'm having a bit of trouble getting booked in for my test. Some schools want me to sit 15 lessons before my test, some expect me to do 5 lessons on a 125 after my CBT. I've ridden bikes before (motorcross) so 15 lessons is a bit overkill. I've found a local guy who will do me hour lessons on a 500+ bike. Now, would be able to have a restrictor kit fitted to my R6 and use that on the road (since I now have my CBT) and use it on my test (not the most sensible choice but this guy is a one man band so is very hard to get a test time on his bike). Cheers guys!

So my mate, being short of leg*, a custom fanatic and the knd of person who never learns by experience, has bought yet another Baby Viagra (K reg, low mileage). Being the nervous type, he is already talking about completely dismantling the thng to cure a miniscule oil weep from the clutch actuator rod. "Good grief, man!" I told him, "My TRX's chain drips more oil than that." I must admit he looked a fine sight thundering the mighty Vee-twin back from the vendor's house, wallowing majestically round curves on tyres that turned out to be inflated to a piffling 20 PSI. No sooner had he got it to his garage than he began wittering on about having to replace some of the bits …

Subject: Fw: Address Book Protection I learned a computer trick today that's really ingenious in its simplicity. As you may know, when/if a worm virus gets into your computer it heads straight for your email address book, and sends itself to everyone in there, thus infecting all your friends and associates. This trick won't keep the virus from getting into your computer, but it will stop it from using your address book to spread further, and it will alert you to the fact that the worm has gotten into your system. Here's what you do: First, open your address book and click on "new contact," just as you would do if you wer…

I'm in Canada, we get some cold winters. I finally got my bike out a couple of weekes ago. Didn't ride it, got it cleaned and tuned. Let it run for awhile, no problems at the time. Go to the garage next day, I smell gas, I notice my exhaust pipes (1 side) have filled with gas! Help me... what did I do here? I took the plugs out, and pushed the bike to see if gas came out chamber. Everything looks fine and the bike still fires up? Help! I can't afford to lose my yammy! Thanks DouGaL

Hi ive taken the engine from a late 600cc fzr and placed it into a go-kart. Ive wired pretty much eveything up and the engine will turn over via the starter motor when the ignition button is pushed but there is no spark????? The voltage at the coils is about twelve volts but it is constant and not in pulses like it should be to create the spark??? will this be something to do with the sensor placed in the magneto housing that pulses the volts to the coils or what???? Please help if you have a clue!!!! thanx.

A man walks into a drug store with his 8-year old son. They happen to walk by the condom display, and the boy asks,"What are these, Dad? To which the man matter-of-factly replies, "Those are called condoms, son. Men use them to have safe sex." "Oh I see," replied the boy pensively. "Yes, I've heard of that in health class at school." He looks over the display and picks up a package of 3 and asks, "Why are there 3 in this package? " The dad replies,"Those are for high school boys, ONE for Friday, ONE for Saturday, and ONE for Sunday." "Cool" says the boy. He notices a 6 pack and asks, "Then who are these for?" "Those are for university lads," the dad answers…

Extracted from SW bikers A guy in a restaurant ordered squid and the waiter took him to a large tank in the corner to choose one. After studying all the squid in the tank he settled on a small green one in the corner with a moustache, the thing was obviously frightened probably knowing why he was there. The waiter took the sqid from the tank into the kitchen where Gervais the chef was waiting and gave him the order. Gervais placed the quivvering squid on the table and lifted the large mallet high to strike down on the poor creature, but as he did he noticed a tear running from the squid's eye. For the first time ever Gervais suffered an attack of concience burtsi…

It has made me think this ws not a R1 or anyother plastic rocket it was a big scooter, it would also appar the rider was only wearing at shirt and shorts, so please be careful and if yuo wanna go like …
