Hi Guys, got my motorbike bug back but not in a situation where I can buy the bike I want WR 250 or 400. So i decided to go back to mum and dads and dig out the old IT 175. I have it in bits just waiting on a flywheel puller this afternoon. From memory (been about 10yrs) it kept jumping out of 2nd gear. Once apart what should I look for.??? Also where the exhaust attaches to the cylinder head is very loose, is there something i can add in there like a heat proof putty type substance to help get a better seal as when water splashes up there it ran very rough for a while. As i pull it down i may need to ask a few more questions. Thanks Bruce

So you're a senior citizen and the government says no health care for you, what do you do? Our plan gives anyone 65 years or older a gun and 4 bullets. You are allowed to shoot 2 Members of Parliament and 2 Members of the House of Lords. Of Course, this means you will be sent to prison where you will get 3 meals a day, a roof over your head, and all the health care you need! New teeth, no problem. Need glasses, great. New hip, knees, kidney, lungs, heart? All covered. And who will be paying for all of this? The same government that just told you that you are too old for health care. Plus, because you are a prisoner, you don't have to pay any income taxes any…

Hello there. My name is Ted and im a Nurse - 6 years ago I had to sell my bike and go back into a car, partly as a result of an injury and partly as I changed jobs and had to cart around equipment and on occasions patients! Anyway Im back - for the past 3 months i have been commuting daily and generally having a ball on a YBR125, OK not as fast as my old Kwaka but very very nimble, very able to filter through even small gaps and bloody frugal on the juice - my fuel bills just dropped from £40 / week to £10. I did have a go on a Bandit before I bought the YBR and found that my 6 years away had left my confidence and cornering ability somewhat lacking - the plan was b…

hi. im hoping someone can help me with a little, well a hope little problem i have with my r1 on a 98 year. the rev counter when i start the bike works fine but after about 3 mins it starts doing what it wants, the rev counter flicks up to 4 to 8 rpm then just drops down to zero, it is very anoying but i supose i can deal with it if its going to cost me a fortune, but if there is a fix then i will give it a go, i have a haynes manual for it so will give it a go if any off you can help me.. like i said, the rev counter just seems to have a mind of its own to be honest, flicking up and down from 0 rpm to 8rpm then drops and flies back up again,, also my trip isnt working pr…

The search will be led by renowned conductor and composer Stephen Montague, winner of an International Piano Award, along with World Superbike champion James Toseland, also a classically trained pianist. Hi Guys, Just bought a yam bt 1100 bulldog from a local dealer, now i know everyone slags them off as a gutless and lardy machine but i happen to like the fact that i cant go too fast!however, since picking it up on saturday i have noiced that if i go above 6500 revs the engine seems to cut back, i have just taken it to the dealer who stated that this is totally normal and it is due to the rev limiter kicking in.....ive never heard of this before! is there anyone out there who knows this to be true?!?!?

i have a 2 stroke yam yb 100 1988 i took it out for a ride and when i came back the revs was slowly increasing so i had a look at the carb couldnt see anything wrong so put it back together the next day started it seemed ok and idled but this was cold so i took it out but it was sluggish and when i changed down gear i had to keep the revs on and when i stopped had to keep revving it. had another look at the carb and noticed the split pin had come out of the top of the throttle stop rod and was just sitting in the carb bore so i put it back in with a new split pin and made sure it wouldnt come back out now when i start it it revs so high on startup i dont dare leave …

After 17,000 miles of running well, my TRX850 has started to run rich on both cylinders. It is rich enough to foul the plugs and cause misfiring at low revs. I believe the ignition is ok as it appears fine at higer revs I have changed the plugs and air filter, checked that the chokes are not sticking, renewed the choke mechanisms, cleaned the carbs several times, but they look spotless anyway, checked the diaphragms and throttle position sensor and checked for a blocked carb breather. I suspect that the bike has been dynojetted but as it was running fine before this problem this should not be part of the problem. I have run out of ideas, any suggestions would be more …
