Ponder on these imponderables for a minute:- 1. If you take an Oriental person and spin him around several times, does he become disoriented? 2. If people from Poland are called Poles, why aren't people from Holland called Holes? 3. Do infants enjoy infancy as much as adults enjoy adultery? 4. If a pig loses its voice, is it disgruntled? 5. If love is blind, why issexy lingerie so popular? 6. Why is the man who invests all your money called a broker? 7. When cheese gets its picture taken, what does it say? 8. Why is a person who plays the piano called a pianist but a person who drives a racing car not called a racist? 9. Why are a wise man and a…

Hello all, First of all I wanted to say hi and introduce myself. Mario is the name and I am a proud owner of an 2008 MT-03. This is my first "large" bike and my bike before that was an Yamaha XT125 which got stolen unfortunately. I love riding but with lovely weather lately I was unable to take the bike for a spin for long time. Of course my battery died and after hours of frustration as the battery is under the petrol tank I got the bike working last night. I had a big smile on my face riding it for 30 minutes although some issues did appear: 1. Burning smell (I presume is safe but you never know) 2. My Oxford heated grips switched on and then died and t…

A young priest gets up in the morning and goes to breakfast. On his way there two nuns look at him and he says, "Good morning sisters" and they reply in a sing song manner, "You got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." This stuns the priest who thought he had been very polite but he just goes on. He encounters a Brother a little while later along the way and he says, "Good morning Brother." The Brother replies in a sing song voice, "You got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning." The priest looks confused at all this but goes on. He gets a little farther and he comes across a fellow priest and he says, "Good morning Father." The priest repli…

Hi all, having a few troubles tracking down a good replacement headlight for my DT, the old one has corroded and the lampholders have been brought back from the dead one too many times. I couldn't give a monkeys for originality either. So long as it fits and its 6v. Trouble is the replacements on evil bay dont have a sidelight, small issue i know but still important. Or is it? Do we have to have one on a bike of this age (1981). Also i need the lamp holders too, not always supplied, after reading the small print on a few of the 'bargains', mutter, e-bay, mutter, mutter. Anybody shed some light on it (couldn't resist). Or reccomendations of places to contact.

hi just bought a padlock alarm from Aldi for £7-99, i have put mine under the seat of the R1, when the bike is moved it gives out 110 decibels, really neat bit of kit you could also bolt it to your wheel. but i like the stealth aspect.and it beats those alarms you see advertised for £40 , so go out and buy one,

A Yorkshireman' s wife dies and the widower decides that her headstone should have the words "she were thine" engraved on it. He calls the stone mason, who assures him that the headstone will be ready a few days after the funeral. True to his word the stone mason calls the widower to say that the headstone is ready and would he like to come and have a look. When the widower gets there he takes one look at the stone to see that it's been engraved "she were thin". He explodes - "Bloody 'ell man, you've left the 'bloody "e" out, you've left the 'bloody "e" out!" The stone mason apologises and assures the poor widower that it will be rectified the following mo…

how many zeros are there in a billion ? A Billion Pounds means nothing unless you can relate it to something we can understand better. I hope this helps you to understand what a mess our government has got us into. Thank you Mr Darling!! How many zeros in a billion? This is too true to be funny. The next time you hear a politician use the Word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about Whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money. A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, But one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective i…
