OK lads, having rebuilt the bike and fitted all new ignition from CDI,coils, leads, plugs and caps.I bought a set of used carbs as the originals were butchered (at least the mixture screws were stripped by someone using a far too small driver i suspect)and one of the slides had a hairline crack in it.I also bought a used stainless high flow exhaust and fitted that, along with high flow air filter. So after some advice from the internet I fitted an upgrade kit of stage one tuning jets.larger main and larger pilot and raised the needle a notch. Now the bike runs very rich and was very hesitant from standstill until I drilled some holes in the rear plate of the silencers. She now …

Hi Folks, I joined this forum back in 2005 when I used to ride a Fazer 600 which I used to commute the 2 hour ride to work, and the 2 hour ride back at the end of the day. I no longer work at that location so for my 30th birthday a couple of years back I chopped my Fazer in for the 2004 model blue R1 and not looked back since. No major tweak, just got a nice tail tidy with a half height number plate at the rear and a new bubble screen. Oh yes and I replaced the passenger seat for a colour matched cover, the rest is as factory spec. Not taken it on track yet, but maybe one day!

David beckham gets home early to find Posh naked, sweaty and flustered. Quick Dave,i'm having a heart attack she cries. As Becks picks up the fone, Brooklyn runs in crying. Daddy, John Terry's in the wardrobe naked. Becks drops the fone, throws open the wardrobe door, and sure enough, there he is . Becks screams, are you some sort of idiot? Vicky's having a heart attack and all you can do is run round naked scaring the kids.

I have an issue with the lights on my XVS125 Dragstar. The headlight and the light in my speedo (and therefore I guess the taillight) seem to dim and brighten randomly, they literally flick between bright and about half brightness as I'm riding along. The only thing that I can guess is that something is partially shorting somewhere but I don't know where to start looking. Could I get some suggestions that an idiot (me) with a multimeter could check to make sure everything is working before I end up paying someone? I also think that the battery is draining down a bit as the starter does seem to chug over slower when starting at the moment, so i'm going to take ou…

as i am 16, have a bike and am stupid i have decided on a few things i would like to do with my bike over the winter when i am not using it. first off i am going to repair all scratches on the bike so it looks like a new bike for next year when i begin to use it again more, and as i am selling the bike at some stage next year. long way off but you have to think about these things. the other stupid thing i want to do is to fit a new exhaust pipe. i am sick of my bike sounding like a pathetic weedy peice of shit . to me and all of my friends my bike looks brilliant and i love it. it looks great and rides even better . but is there anything i can do about the exhaust no…

Just been over to my neares Yamaha dealers to take a look at the new XVS950A Midnight Star. I have to say it is absolutely GORGEOUS. Its light, comfortable and i do beleive Yamaha may have got it right this time. Looks wise, its sleek and sexy, the matt black compliments the chrome and tones it down a tad which i think looks so much better than the gloss black frame of the 650. The only thing im not keen on it the fact that the brake fluid reservoir is right on the front, but i can live with that. So - am now negotiating with the dealer for one of these babies - fingers crossed for monday!

How do you post in the 'For Sale' section? I know I am a newcomer to this site and there has to be a certain amount of security but I have paid the subscription fee and still I cant post in that section. Its just that Ive got a genuine Yam manual (XS500) and a Cycleserv manual (TY250B) which are of no use to me. Ive tried contacting a mod with no success. ATB J

Hi everyone, Just registered... I'm interested in buying a new Fazer S2. Just wanted to get some info and opinions from owners of Fazers. I ride a Suzuki 2005 SV650S with fairing lowers and double bubble screen at the moment. I like the torque it produces and the light weight. It handles well and is narrow. The problem is the riding position with clip-ons is killing my back. Right between the shoulder blades (I have a herniated disc there anyway). Suzukis aren't known for build quality either, though it's garaged and well maintained, so it's mint. I want a bike with some wind protection and a relaxed riding position. The only one that looks right for me is the Fazer at…

Well, after 2 weeks with the Fazer600, i had to get my Thunderace back, so basically it cost me £150 to find out I am addicted to power lol. I'm now looking at Harris raised clipons, to take the strain off the old neck and back. I know.... I should have done that first! Live and learn ay?

Hey folks. I’m just getting myself back into biking and have bought a DT125R (2001) to start off. The bike has been stripped of all road parts for full time off road use. When I bought it I was told the power valve does not open/close, and has been set mid way. Apparently this is because some part of the electrics &/or the battery has been removed (there is no battery). When I first got the bike this was fine, but now I would like more low/high range power to do jumps etc. Can anyone help me restore the power valve to open and close automatically as it should? Any help/advice appreciated
