I have had a passengers boots start to melt and leave residue on my pipes just below their foot pegs. Didn't know what it was at first, but finally figured it out. It is EXTREMELY hard to get it off. The only think I have found was easyoff oven cleaner, but obviously its very caustic. Any body else experience this? Have suggestions on how to remove it? Will the easyoff eventually damage the chrome? Thanks in advance.

Spoke with Andy (elvis fan) yesterday. As of 3pm yesterday his green SR, yes the 80mph plus SR was nicked and left burned out. Wished him well but still sucks. He had just given it the works too. Chain, fork seals, oil and filters. Even had a full tank of gas. I hope the scum die of something painful.

Me again... I’ll try and keep this post to a minimum, me and a mate decided to go for a bit of a run over to thetford forest to go visit a friend who is recovering from a motorbike incident he had a few months back. When we got their we were welcomed in to his humble abode only to find what looked like thousands of photographs of various motorbikes he has owned over the years scattered over the coffee table. Five hours later, all three of us are smack bang in memory lane reminiscing about our past and present bikes. I bet there’s one or two of you on this forum that have found there selves doing the same thing, so if anybody feels like joining in with this post come…

Lowes will be looking to build on his first podium for the team and is feeling confident after the successful test where he got to evaluate a number of updates to his R1. The 26-year-old British rider was still recovering from a shoulder operation at Misano last year but managed to qualify in fourth and finish 13th and eighth respectively in the races. Lowes has not only been working hard with the team on the bike since Donington, but also has been looking at where he can improve personally, and heads to Misano focused and ready to race. Van der Mark also showed great pace at Donington, only missing out on the podium in race two by 0.7s. The 24-year-old Dutch rider t…

Both riders displayed improved pace at the last round in Italy, highlighting the continued progress the team have made throughout the season. Lowes is looking to build on his second podium of the season at a track he clearly enjoys riding. His teammate van der Mark hopes to go one better than his fourth-place finish in race two at Misano, after he was cruelly denied the chance to fight for victory in race one because of a tyre failure. Marino rode superbly at Donington to secure his third podium in four races, crossing the line in second less than two seconds behind the race winner. The 24-year-old French rider made a breakthrough with the setup on his R1M at the last round and is feeling confident that there is more to come in the heat at Misano. Marino is currently third in the championship standings with 56 points, just 23 points off the leader. Tamburini is relishing the chance to ride in front of the passionate Misano fans at his home round. The 26-year-old Italian finished in fourth at Donington and is looking to add to his tally of two podiums so far, this season. He realises the need to wor…

Hi, Looking to replace the piston in my DT175MX when I get the barrel rebored, but a genuine Yamaha piston is £100, with rings being £40. The bloke at Webbs of Eye said that patent pistons have a nasty habit of imploding or shattering after a few miles or so due to the square exhaust ports. Now is this marketing BS or is he talking sense? Because it's a lot of money between the patent part and the original. It's money I can afford but money I also need for other things. Cheers, Harry.

I usually do not write a mean e-mail like the one that was here and after reading it I do not want it posted anymore but after being nice for so long with no positive results and being ignored every person has a point where they say enough is enough. I was not mad at first because everybody makes mistakes but when you are lied to and you have to find out on your own that someone is pulling a fast one on you that hurts. Like I said Mr. Smeeton is probalby a nice guy to you but not to me. They were ignoring me that is why I wrote that e-mail, then I got a reply. It is possible with older motorcycles that it could have different parts on it from different motorcycles but…

I'm disappointed you haven't wished me a happy birthday. I've had a fantastic day out, my lad took me to Fulham to see them beat Wigan. Called in to weatherspoons in Baker Street for a drink and meal. Got train home and here I am having a winge because nobody loves me. (even when I was at school my mum used to wrap my sandwiches up in a road map) Not bad for my age though, still making love at 63, My wife's not to happy because we live at No. 25.

The day started slowly as the start of the race was delayed to 8:00 am local time. Yesterday’s heavy rain in Uyuni had made it nearly impossible to cross the salt pans that cover the first 100km of the eighth stage and an alternative route had to be sorted. The change in plans did not affect Pedrero’s focus. With a chance of victory in his sights the Spaniard fought off Stefan Svitko and snatched the lead, until Pablo Quintanilla dove under his time by just eleven seconds. Today’s results see Pedrero jump to 11th place in the overall rankings, after having received an 15-minute penalty yesterday that saw him drop from 6th to 23rd in the race results and from 19th to 20t…
