So exhaust is all done , took it for a spin and worked fine, pulled up for an hour, then pulled away again, and 500 yards seem to start losing lower then just died, started again a few times but as I pull throttle it has no power and eventually refused to even start, any ideas, cos I'm getting inpatient and losing interest in biking due to many issues with this, seems I fix one and another 2 happen

Not sure if you guys have seen this. I warn you in advance - they aren't on a Yammy, and it's a long read - but this is truly a story! http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=877576&highlight=Walkabout+Russia To hopefully tantalise you further, page 9 details where their bike falls over a cliff, but amazingly this doesn't end their trip.

Clever bit of coding - it's all perfectly safe for work, until you select all of the text and colour is automatically applied to each letter. http://fichtre.net/yop.html

Hi, I got free gloves thrown in with the deal on my bike. They seem ok, but I am suffering from numb fingers in the morning - espcially the 2nd and 3rd finger on the right hand. Would investing in a decent pair of gloves prevent this, or could I be holding the handlebar grips incorrectly? Sorry if this seems obvious, just wondering.

I got a text from number 2 son earlier in the week. He said he was looking to do his CBT and get a 125 to commute on. He has had a full car licence for several years but he, and his other half, only have space for one car. He lives in Essex so I pointed him to a CBT centre near him. I thought he planned to take the CBT later in the Month and was still investigating the in's and out's however, he texted me a while ago and said that he had passed the CBT today. He is looking for a 125 supermoto, trials or TW type bike. To be honest I am proud he passed but am worried as a father. A little greedy of me really as I have got so much out of riding. I guess even with kids in …

And here it is....a new XT660R! No point in me waiting for the 55 reg cos the XT will be the one that goes to Spain, and will get re-registered there. The ideal bike for Spanish roads I'd say! As for the TDM....it's a very good bike. But I just couldn't get on with it...particularly the handling. Even though the TDM was faster and had better brakes than the Strom, in every other area the Strom just whips it's ass. I've always wanted one of the new XT's....and the Spanish relocation plus the great deal just forced my hand. What's it like? I've done 120 miles on it and so far it seems to me to have similar performance to the Trans…

Hi I have an FZR 400 1988 it has been of the road for a number of years and now my daughter wants to ride it as I put another bike through MOT on monday and was told the plate was to small even though it passed the last 3 tests I though I would make sure that the 400 plate was the legal size which I was told is 9" x 7" but I find that it sits in a holder on the back mudguard that is only 9" x 6" Can any one tell me if that was the size when the bike was made or maybe I have an import But the problem is that the extra inch will take it over the reflector which will also cause a fail and I do not want to cut and modify the rear unless I realy have to Thanks Gerald

I had to order a new number plate cos some silly old bugger drove into me while sat in traffic (in his 80's also had a traffic cone under his car!) and cracked mine. In my haste in ordering I've got one which is smaller cos I ticked the wrong bloody box. Does anyone have experience of how hot the law is when it comes to incorrect sizing? Can't really afford another £20 this month - new school uniforms etc etc!

Pulled over yesterday, "Just a quick check sir" No great shakes, gave me a chance to have a fag (the ash tray on my bike was full), Whilst one officer walked slowly round and round the bike, Probably wishing he had one, The other was reading my papers, And having a chat (as they do) AS IF, Probably checking for signs of alcohol / hangover, It being 8 ish new years morning, who in there right mind would be cruising in the bitter cold, (well i would), My query is, Don`t they just put your index number in there computer, And receive Bike / owner details, Strait away?, I know they were probably checking ME out, Any insight into this GAS-UP?.

how many zeros are there in a billion ? A Billion Pounds means nothing unless you can relate it to something we can understand better. I hope this helps you to understand what a mess our government has got us into. Thank you Mr Darling!! How many zeros in a billion? This is too true to be funny. The next time you hear a politician use the Word 'billion' in a casual manner, think about Whether you want the 'politicians' spending YOUR tax money. A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, But one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective i…

Just a wondering where you folk get your fastners from these days. Bought some for the DT off the interweb but they have disappeared now. It was a generic 'dip' box of mixed stuff for 30 odd quid. Now run out. Some of the stuff on the top end of the tdr, esp the stuff between the cyl has got a bit 'rural' looking. Couple took the usual 'imagination' to remove. So any pointers for some allen headed stainless stuff. ta
