posted by one of the girls on south west bikers forum To My Dear Wife, You will surely understand that I have certain needs that you, being 54 years old, can no longer satisfy. I am very happy with you and I value you as a good wife. Therefore, after reading this letter, I hope that you will not wrongly interpret the fact that I will be spending the evening with my 18 year old secretary at the Comfort Inn Hotel. Please don't be upset - I shall be home before midnight. When the man came home late that night, he found the following letter on the dining room table: My Dear Husband, I received your letter and thank you for your honesty about my b…

I am looking at buying an 01 roadstar that has 28000 miles on it. It has some nice bags on it, pasaanger and rider back rests, engine guards with cruise pegs, floor boards, tinted windshield, vance and hines exhaust pipes, and several other customs items on it. It is a champaigne color. The caples are the braided one. The dealership is asking $7500 for it. Is that a good price for one?

Scenario: You are riding your bike at a constant speed. On your left side is a valley and on your right side is a fire engine travelling at the same speed as you. In front of you is a galloping pig which is the same size as your bike and you cannot overtake it. Behind you is a helicopter flying at ground level. Both the giant pig and the helicopter are also travelling at the same speed as you. What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation? Page down - this cracked me up! Answer: Get off the children's Merry-Go-Round, you're…

Has anyone else tried to buy a "headlight lens cover" from a git selling them on E-bay??? I saw a "Thundercat headlight cover-any colour...with all fittings" advertised for "buy it now" £18.99. As my 'cat has orange in its colour scheme, and I've just fitted an amber double bubble, I ordered an amber headlight cover. BUT...when it came, the fixing pads are WHITE, and as you can obviously see them through the ( again obviously ) transparent lens cover it looks shocking. I contacted the seller and politely asked for fixings in a suitable colur, but he refused saying "they're fine". I replied saying the whole idea of a coloured lens cover is to…

Is there such as thing as a Maxim Owners Club in the UK? I have just got my hands on a 1985 700cc US import, and am new to biking so need as much friendly (and simple) advice as possible. The best way to do it would be to link up with other Maxim owners instead of badgering the hell out of all-and-sundry! So if anyone knows of such an Owners Club, please let me know!

  11. Hey everyone, My name is Nick, I'm 21 and I've been riding for 17 years (my bicycle that is ). I have been wanting a motorcycle for a loooooong time and now that I'm out from under the watchful eye of my mother and father, I have purchased my first. It's a 1978 Yamaha DT175, pretty much not my dream ride but a cheap bike for me to learn on. My question is a legal one, if anybody is knowledgable on that subject. I live in California. I asked a motorcycle enthusiast accquaintance if he could locate a few parts for me. I need a couple of mirrors, a brake light, brake light relay, turn signal relay, ignition switch, and battery in order for me to satis…

My friend in Devon is starting a fortnightly rock nights venue and is looking for bands in the south - or not too far from the south - to play in the future. they are looking for classic rock tribute and covers bands and some that do their own stuff. It might prove to be very good for a little known band who is trying get into the pub music scene. Anyway, do any of you know any bands, or know of any or are in a band? If so, please let me know the name and website or e-mail address and I will pass it on to her. The opening night is on the 16th of September at Rock At Moloko. I will let you know any other details if…

Scientists have discovered that lager contains trace quantities of female hormones - something to do with the part of the plant that the hops are picked from. So someone did an experiment to determine the effect of this on the male... They took ten male volunteers, and got them each to drink eight pints of lager in quick succession. At the end of the test, it was found that they were all talking complete bollocks, and couldn't drive.
