I get to ride the new bike (well new to me 1999) tomorrow. cant fuckin wait!!! but.. wana know a lil bout her. only been riding 7 yrs and over 5 on 2 babyblades. im more then ready for a bigger bike but would love to have a lil info on what to look for what to expect, mainly what are gud tyres and what pressure? off to europe this year so want a tyre thats good for touring but i luv to play too. im only 5' and less than 7st so the tyres and pressure i really feel when i ride. iv always used bridgestone but the bikes got maxxis on? i know sod all about?? one comment not great just ok would greatly appreciate any info?? i soo wana enjoy this lil cat!!! been a while.

New to motorcycles, but i did notice the brand new spark plugs get super black after a quick ride, which i assume causing a misfire for the right side, so my question was how to get it back to norm or make it run leaner, or what the problem is at all , thanks

I recently purchased a v-star650 custom 2003, joining a club/forum is always a great way to get info on bike and research troubles, if any. hi all just thought i would introduce myself my names paul from Australia i have had a few Yamaha's now on number 3 had a it 200 and a it460 both 1981 i seem to like that year so i have now picked up a 1981 xs 250 special that my dad originally bought when he came over from England has sat in the shed with a blown bottom end for 10 years i have had it 1 month and given it a freshen up dropped in a new motor new coat of paint made a new wiring harness and will have it on the road within a week just waiting on some parts like points and master cylinder to arrive and she will be good to go going to leave it as stock as i can as that is they way i like them …

Hi I have had my 1998 XJ600S for a couple of months now, generally I am quite pleased to be back on two wheels but have a couple of queries somebody out there may be able to help :- 1) I have posted this before without any luck - the bike has a vibration at 3500 - 4000 rpm (around 50 mph) I took the bike to my local motorcycle repair shop who tinkered round with it by tightening a few bits including the rear axle !! It hasn't made any difference - anybody got any ideas as my journey to work is at 50 mph !! 2) I have managed to get a centre stand for my bike, fitting looks fairly straightforward apart from the beefy spring - any ideas how to assemble the centre stand an…

When I turn the handlebars on my 2008 xt125r the headlight flashes. When the bike is on the light comes on automatically which is normal, but when I turn the bike the light dims. I have taken all the instrument panel off and there is no wiring problems/bare wires etc anyone got any ideas. Also the neutral indication light on the dash (blue light) has also disappeared. Don't know if this is part of the same problem. Thanks in advance for any ideas or help.

Hi I work at Waltham Forest College E17(Motorcycle Engineering dept.) I've just bought a brand new Yamaha XJs600 Diversion from Poole Yamaha. Fitted rack,digi gear indicator and Huger. Using for work (comute into East London from St Albans)and touring next year. Getting 55mpg at the moment. So far very pleased . We start our Motorcycle evening class tomoro 14th sept.2010 at 7.00pm. We run a full range of 1st 2nd and 3rd year classes as well. If you are ever in ther area and need the loo or a cupa (we have a cafe)or just want to talk bikes pop in and say hello . So it started the first day, but the day after I accidentally pressed the red button/switch on the left side with the clutch. Does that mean that I switched gears or anything,and if so please tell me how to get it into free. It's a little urgent.

Hi all, As you can see from my bike, I'm new(ish) to bikes having bought myself a TDR125 to get through my test. Actually, I grew up around bikes and always wanted one, but had to wait until my old man passed away to get my first bike. Although he had bikes from the age of 12 until he was in his 50's, I wasn't allowed near them! Anyway...my TDR is a German import. It's a great little bike, but it will need some tlc over the year. I am really shocked at how little information there is about bikes on the net. I emailed Yamaha and got a polite reply saying they knew there was "more to be done." I don't even know what model my bike is. So far, any replacement part…
