Been itching badly to replace the YBR for a while now, and I've located a couple of XJ6s [through dealerships]... But dilemmas! This weekend is looking to be a bit dreich down [up?] here and I still need to finish off the finance on the YBR. I can't even justify part exchanging it - if they'll even allow it, due to different finance companies - because dealerships offer effective pennies for it ): [i asked elsewhere, and they only offered £1k for a '12 YBR 125, when I could sell it privately for £1600. Although, HPI may prevent that] I could get both, but I'd then have 2 bikes, and less ability to pay off my YBR faster! How do I cope?!

after reading reviews and looking at pictures of peoples bikes on here and other forums ive decided on an xj6 diversion in black, i have an 05 fz6 fazer at the moment which i bought new, its on its second set of steering head bearings, ive heard about alot of fz6,s with similar problems of them wearing out quick. they are one their way out again and now ive had enough and although its a great bike and in seven years ive only done 28,000 miles on it, i feel its time for a change, i test rode an xj6 and loved it, very smooth riding and didnt seem that much slower than the fz. These days most of my riding is commuting to work apart from the odd ride out here and there, mayda…

I have an old 1988 fz 600 cc bike that i just picked up tonight. to the tune of $350.00 USD I am hugely excited for what the future hold for me and my bike hopefully not a lot of heartache...please God. but yest its red white and black i believe. clock reads 5996 or something like that. I have posted a help add earlier and no one responded to it i wished that people would be cause seeing as how this is my first bike that i have ever owned i want it to be a good one that will last me a while one that i won't grow out of or give up on. I not one of those posers who goes out and get the fancy expensive riding gear and all that and a new bike. 1 I can't afford all that plus …

Come pay day I'll be taking delivery of a '94 SR125. Exact same year and model as the one I have but only 22000 miles instead of the 46 on mine. All parts are there and in good nick but it is sold as a non runner as there is an intermittent ignition problem. So starts and runs most of the time lol. Not sure whether to use it as a donor bike or spend time trying to sort it out. The mechanics I use for all my spare parts normally only sells £3k bikes and up - mainly classics - and wants only £100 which is the value of the couple of bits they have changed and what they paid for it. Previous owner couldn't afford to repair it (hourly rate etc) so instead of sticking it on eBa…

I have spent a couple of months hunting for a bike to replace my XT125X, i needed something with off-road capability and preferably something that had a supermoto model of the same bike (less of a headache to try and sort out a Sumo conversion) Also needed more ommph then the 125, anything 250 and up really. I tried to arrange to view a '99 Honda xr250, but couldn't make a viewing before end of auction- so missed that one. After looking for a good couple of months i managed to find a bike for the 'right price', plenty of power, tons of ground clearance, maybe a bit tall- but then again most of these enduro bikes are. So i went to see a bike and after a lo…

Hi All!! I recently passed my full license via DAS in June and have bought a Yamaha YZF600R Thundercat for my first bike...its a superb ride and looks good too! I got it nice and cheap (almost half price) as it needed some work on it and a bit of TLC...done virtually all of the work (which only cost £200) and may need upto another £100 spent. Now the nice weather is coming I'm looking for any fellow Thundercat owners, any bikers for rideouts or a drink in the south east i.e. Essex, Kent, London, Surrey etc...and maybe even a nice biker babe lol! Motorcyclists account for 1% of all road traffic in the UK, but shockingly account for 20% of fatalities. What is even scarier is that prospective car drivers can currently pass their test without answering a single motorbike-related question. Bennetts are launching a Government petition to ensure bike-related questions are made compulsory in all UK driving tests. To have this matter raised in the House of Commons 100,000 signatures are required. We need your help. Please sign the petition now: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/26272 and share this link with your family and friends.

Has anyone ever bought a new Yamaha and it arrived with lots of blobs of bright green paint on it? My son had his new MT125 delivered yesterday and there were spots of green paint all over it. The dealer said that they came from Yamaha like that and showed that the nuts had been tightened properly. However the paint was not just on nuts. It was on wiring, handlebars and tyres. It was a bit messy. My big question was why weren't these removed in pre delivery valet. No satisfactory answer. It was someone else's fault.

Hello All, I just joined the board and wanted to introduce myself, and to get my first post in. I live in Telluride Colorado USA and ride a '07 FJR1300, '97 Suzuki TL1000s and a '74 Norton 850 Commando. Being that Telluride is at 9000' elevation (2800m) we have winter here. In fact there is a ski area here that I work at during the winter so riding season goes from April to November or there abouts. I usually lay down somewhere around 7000 miles per year between the bikes I ride. The nice thing about having more than one is you always have something to ride when the other is in need of repairs or tires. Right now the Suzuki needs a Stator and a tire so I have the …

I have finally got round to buying some new boots six months after getting my bike I kept changing my mind about what sort and style I wanted. I knew I needed some badly for safety reasons but kept putting off, also I was sick of my feet getting soaked. Anyway I settled on these, I'm sure they will last me a good few year. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOTOCROSS-Racing-BOOTS-by-WULFSPORT-in-BLACK-Race-Enduro-Motox?item=360397066462&cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D1%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D2344971192805742524

Hey there everyone, My names Liam, I'm just coming into the biking scene and wanted to make it official by joining the owners club. I'm getting a 2010 YBR125 on Friday and am absolutely extatic! I have had a bike before, about three years ago. It was a Lonjia Madness 125 (chinese scooter). It was cool, but had loads of little annoying things like the battery compartment leaked an would fill up with water! I ended up drilling holes in it for drainage! also, the exhaust mounts snapped and was hanging off. Had o weld it back together... Eventually my CBT ran out, I passed my driving test, bought a car and never had a bike again... But now, I've re-done my CBT…

  20. Hello there fellow riders, After owning a TT600RE for 6 months, and having just weighed my Honda XL1000 Varadero in against a lovely XT660Z (well, it's not everyones cup of mint tea!) I though I'd jump in and join this forum. I tried to find a picture of the right colour but Yamaha just don't have one on thier site - probably cos it looks crap in Desert Khaki (in a picture). Anyway, I pick the bike up on Friday and I hope it's all it's hyped to be as I'm off on a mega-trip in the summer, if you are at all interested, you could visit my website and find out more : Smokingtailpipes If you'd like to leave a message, use the contact buttons.
