my battery in my bike was recked from lieing up so i bought a mew 1 in halfords i charged it for 3 hours and then put it in the bike and it started 1st time the next day and it was dead dident even hav ingnition light ...any ideas ?? thanks

I know in a previous post (to anybody that may have seen it) I mentioned I had an XJ600, but the truth is: I hadn't bought it yet, somebody was just waiting for me to buy it off them. HOWEVER, I now have it and it's all legally mine and shizz. I'd like to know what you all think of it. I paid £400 for it. It's on a 2000 plate (X Reg). It has Black touring fairing (as seen in the pictures). It has a Nexus exhaust and it also has heated grips. So, opinions?

Having replaced the ignition switch on my bike as you could start it with a screwdriver blade, it was so worn you could start it with the handle end!! I've now got yet another key! I really could do with only ONE key, trouble is I can't see how i can!!! I've now got 5 keys! The original key for the steering lock and another for the helmet lock which is non original. The new one for the ignition switch and one for the top box,plus the chain lock key! I was thinking about getting a locking petrol cap but that means getting yet another key!! making six! Surely I'm not the only ONE? Can anybody beat my set of keys?

Hey, ive got a DT125X, ive done the wire behind the speedo, and got a full dep exhaust pipe, and took the snorkel off the air box under the seat. All together they have made it considerably quicker! I've heard, it's then good to change the jets to bigger ones. Any idea of what's the best size to go for? And also the reed valve. I'm not fully up to speed with reed valves, i've never had one in my hands to look at. Any advice on whick is the best ones to get and where from? any idea wat i could use to clean my exhaust on my tdr to bring it back to new

I'm new to motorised 2 wheels and have recently acquired a YBR 125 custom to practice on before I go for Direct Access. The only thing that bugs me is the poor rear vision from my miirrors. Now you may say that its because the YBR is naff or its because I'm not used to cycle mirrors but I dont think the view is good at all. I can see well to the rear left and rear right but if the mirrors were a little longer I'm sure the rear view would be better. Is there anything I can do to improve this? thanks

Hi, I have just bought an aerox with either a 70cc big bore or a 77cc not exactly sure, it was fitted by a garage and is still being run in by me so it does have a higher ratio of 2 stroke oil. My mates 50cc aerox will do 45mph however mine struggles to reach 40mph at the moment. It has been de-restricted and has a leo vinci tt exhaust. Any suggestions as to why..... it could just eb the higher ratio of 2 stroke oil. Thanks

Hello ive noticed that my throttle cable sticks at low reving and clears if you bleep it it has a band new cable on it < ive heard that you have to have a yamaha cable because all the others just stick i must admit it was fine intil this was fitted can anyway help and if i need a yamaha cable does anyone know where i can get one from many thanks Rich

Hi lads, just joined. I have a problem with my alarm/immobiliser that I'm hoping to get some help with. Last night I went to deactivate the immobiliser to head for a spin and it didn't work. I changed the battery in the fob and that did nothing. Rang a mechanic, he said the immobiliser is probably bust so to just take it out and that should enable the bike to start again. Has anyone removed an alarm/immobiliser from a 03 Fazer 600 before? If so, is there any chance I could get a step by step instruction on how to do it? Any help much appreciated, Mark

Hello all. Can someone assist with some info. I have just bought a low mileage (21000) 1992 on a K 600s. Its a very good runner, and even the standard clutch rattle appears to be absent?? Anywho, my question is the oil light on the dash doesnt come on when the ignition is turned on. From memory, it may only be a oil level light but just need to confirm. Needless to say I rode it home tonight, over 20 miles, and its still running. Your help will be appreciated.

I'm new here and figured I would show off the latest bike that was given to me. A '76 XS750. It came off a reserve in saskatchewan and shows alot of weird/stupid fixes. Let me know what you think, any ideas of which way I should take it. I'm stumped for now and thank god winter is coming.

Hi Lads & Ladesses.... I've noticed when turning on the ignition of my Fazer a series of clicking noises that lasts for a few seconds. It sounds like it's coming from around the switchgear somewhere. The bike always starts and is running well. Any ideas ? Or am I just hearing noises ??? Cheers in advance

Does anyone know where I can get some secondhand, I dont really want to spend £270 on small washers which im going to take out in a year or so. well,id love to be telling the members that read my previous thread about project cockroach ( offroad buggy/zxr750h hybrid ) about how mental it performed & how many times it tried to assasinate me - but its still sat in my workshop waiting to be taken up to my mates farm.i had hoped to have given a it quick bit of minor engineering,engine bracing etc & then a test....er....flight,but the workshop up there has been a bit hectic,it will be there in the next day or so but.i have sorted some electrical issues tho,set up & balanced the carbs & have opted for a peco twin exit exhaust tho.....honestly,it souds awesome.i havnt added any more pics because its not …
