firstly i's like to say hello, my names chris and i have a yam XT600e 2003,ive had this bike for nearly 3 yrs and its a 100% trustworthy this bike with no break downs whatsoever. so when a couple of mates said they were planning a trip to spain to watch the moto gp i jumped at the chace for a bike trip away and it didn't disappoint! only one hiccup which is why I'm here now to ask for advice/pointed in the right direction. I did a district Pioneering Project lastv weekend for scouts and managed to film a leader testing the monkey bridge on me mobile. we built a high ropes course, Jacobs ladders, trebuchets firing raw eggs at volunteers and had a chariot race! great fun!!

Hi All,I just bought my first Yamaha, a 1981 XV750 off Ebay. It wouldn't start when I arrived on the train from Leeds to Peterborough and I was becoming a little disallusioned after two and a half hours of fiddling with a slow starter, flat battery and stripping the carbs. Eventually though I went out on the pillion and it was pulling like a train until we wobbled round a bend due to low rear tyre pressure!! Once I had changed my underwear and taken a couple of Vallium tabs I was feeling OK about everything and I handed over the dosh and set off up the Great North Road with an imbecile grin cramping up my facial muscles!! Can anyone help with my centre stand dilemma?? Recently purchased an lc350 been in mates shed 20 years and anyway 3 grand later and loads of testicle ache...i decided to fit a centre stand...the bike has a metmachex alloy swinging arm and when i put the bike on the centre stand it dont lift the bloody back wheel off the floor?? does anyone know if these swinging arms make it impossible to be used with a mainstand?? Help before i sign myself into some kind of clinic lol Cheers Graham

Hi all just passed mod 2 and loose on the road at last ) Just picked up new bike Yamaha virago 535 1997 with 3k on it, been in a garage for 10 years unmoved. rode it 120 miles home with no problems. service in the morning then off for a nice long ride. Dave

Hi all I have looked but can't seem to find any info on this. I have just picked up a Virago 535 1997 and want to service it, in the hand book it say's use sae 20w40 or sae 10w30 api se or sf I would like to use semi sin as have been told this is better for the engine but will the wet clutch slip ? so in short can I use semi sin or stick with the hand book ? Hope all this makes sense Many thanks Dave
