  6. Hi all, Without wanting to get bogged down in the argument of tuning a 50cc I'm after two nuggets of information, (1)a guesstimate of the main jet /needle + jet to actually make my bike run at over 1/4- 1/3 throttle and (2)a UK supplier who would have the parts... Basically: DT50M 1980 I have a Mikuni carb supposedly off a DT80, I think it's a Vm18ss -a very rough measurement of the bore suggests it's 18-20mm this is fitted with a yambits big bore kit giving 59-60cc, hytech racing reed, a cone air filter and the restriction to size has been removed from the expansion box to take it to the same diameter as the rear silencer, there was also a crimp put in the rear…

Good day Yamahaclub members. I have been forced to come out of retirement just one more time.....to deal with another Internet storyteller. This person goes under the username of JMW. Just take a look at some of his posts from the last month or so: Anyone got something like an old Motad pipe or similar for a shaft drive XJ650 ?? Wanting NS400 parts. I really couldn't take full advantage on the road of a 2001 model R1. Hey NT - being a former ZXR owner, are you up with any tuning or general info on the bike. I'm doing one at the moment, need some guidance as everything looks pretty much spot on with the head and valves. Hmm, serious complaints from the r…

Just got me a little DTMX from the French 'Joe Bar Team' collection, love it, they do all sorts of characature models from classic bikes of the 70's 80's highly recommended

Joe wanted to buy a motorbike. He doesn't have much luck until, one day he comes across a Harley with a 'For Sale' sign on it. The bike seems even better than a new one, although it is 10 years old. It is shiny and in absolute mint condition. He immediately buys it, and asks the seller how he kept it in such great condition for 10 years. "Well, it's quite simple, really," says the seller, "whenever the bike is outside and it's going to rain, rub Vaseline on the chrome. It protects it from the rain." And he hands Joe a jar of Vaseline. That night, his girlfriend, Sandra, invites him over to meet her parents. Naturally, they take the bike there. But just b…

I keep scoring these ridiculous deals on kijiji! Guess it helps I work from home and check the site like 10 times a day.... lol Latest deal is this Joe Rocket suit, awesome shape, seller said it was worn 6 times, looks like it too, it's mint. Knee sliders still look brand new! I'll have to do something about that come riding season.... Anyway, best part, I paid $100 CAD for this.

Hi, I'm DUMB as far as technical things go, and get my scoot serviced once a year to keep it on track. It got looked at in December and all was fine, but its now playing up. The starter button won't start it anymore and I have to kick-start it. (Once I've kickstarted it, if I stop and go to a shop or something, it'll start from the starter button then) When I press the starter button it'll do a chug chug chug thingy but nothing else. Any advice? Also it spits blue smoke when I drive off. I've been told this is too much oil, but she got a drink about a month ago, and was fine until this last week. Thanks for helping a complete idiot!!!

Hi Guys Myself and 8 other collegues are riding from John O'Groats to Lands End to raise money for Cancer Research UK. We're all Sportsbike (ish) riders, myself on an R6. We plan to complete the ride in 3 days, covering just over 1000 miles and not using any motorways. As a regular on this site I thought I'd post the link on here so people can have a look and get more info and hopefully use the 'DONATE ON-LINE' section to donate some money! http://www.thrape.fsnet.co.uk/jogle1000forcruk/ Also the MSS Discovery BSB/BSS Team have kindly donated a VIP package for us to auction against costs. If this is something you would like to bid for here's the Ebay link …
