Hello all, newbie to this forum, but long time Yamaha owner. I have 2 '04 Midnight's, a Venture and a Roadstar, altho you couldn't tell from looking at it! I've spent a lot of time customizing it. Here's a link to some pics: http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q310/Mi...ke/IMG_1467.jpg Anyway - I just bought a 1964 (I think) YDS-3 with 2848 miles and I'm looking for resources for restoring it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Peter

Hi, i have just bought a sr125. It's my second bike and im coming from a sachs xtc supersport. I havent got the bike yet but bought it for 400 no tax or mot and have it booked in this saturday with my local garage. Here is a pic It has covered just 1066 miles and is a 1999 reg, and was apparently dry stored for 7 years. Is there anything i should do or check as soon as i get it? Im also looking to get a visor or screen for the front. Just a small clear one, teardrop in shape. Has anyone done this modification. Also are the bikes restricted at all, obviously i know its not going to be lightning fast but every little helps.

Hello people, getting a new XT660R tomorrow, probably the 25th+ bike, Ive had over the last 25+ years Ive been riding. Had all sorts, will use it every day for commuting and having a blast in the Dales (Yorkshire, UK). Ride all year round in all weathers, one of my first was a DT 175 stroker, loved the thing hope I enjoy the XT as much. Also had diversion 900, fazer 1000, suzukies, hondas (have also a cb1300 currently), kwakas, harleys, aprillias, could say im a bit of a bike nut, oil in my veins dont you know. Absolutely love the smell of 2 stroke, and hot engines. New to the forum so this is really an introduction to say hello to like minded bikers of all ages. …

New to the forum (lurked for a bit) so i thought i should introduce myself. Mad scientist, mad man, general bodger.. you get the picture Currently learning bikes (at 27 ) on an inherited honduh 90, but i've always wanted a trial-ped, particularly DT50 MX's from the 80s. Just always liked them, whereas i do like.. more usual steeds, it's that bike that i've wanted since i was a kid... big wheel model? Had a project idea to make one a superb commuter type machine, but also keep its green-lane potential. I'm mechanically good, so intend to do all my own work and i'm never happy with anything which is entirely standard as the manufacturer cut-corner-built it…

Invisasbility cloaks really do exist. After riding on the roads for well yesterday afternoon after the CBT I have decided that I have become invisible. I thought people couldnt see silver cars but riding a bike at night ? God dam open your eyes people. Is this just me or is this just one of the joys of motorbikes?

Just worked out how to use the IPB mobile app to get the forum up and useable. You have to add a community. Name : Yamaha Club Forum URL : www.yamahaclub.com Then it adds it to your list and works quite well from there.

Just wondering whats the story on these Iridium plugs ! 1) do the last longer ? 2) do they give better performance ? 3) are they easier on the engine ?,,,,,eg. less strain on creating spark or is it more strain ? 4) do they reduce fouling ? 5) do they reduce fuel consumption ? Ive here different stories about these plugs and was wondering what the real story is ! Four plugs = €30 they would want to do something magical !

I've had this on my list of things to do for a while now. Why? I'm not sure really! After all, is sitting on a motorway for miles on end ever really fun? And is it an enjoyable way of buggering up a set of tyres? Well the negatives aside, it was still rattling around my brain. So on Friday night after work, I found it on my mind again and without hesitation I set about preparing... : The route? Down the M6 and M5 to Exeter, A30 to Penzance, A394/A39/A390/A38 to Exeter, A30/A303/M3/M25/M20 to Folkstone, A260/A2/M2/Dartford Crossing/M25 to M1, then finally M1/M62/M60/M67. That would bring me about 50 miles over 1000 which is what they recommend in the rules. : T…

  20. I've just discovered that someone has attempted to steal my bike during lockdown. There's be a screwdriver forced in the ignition barrel and the steering lock has been forced open. I have a chain on the front wheel so not sure if that is what stopped them taking the bike, but it also needed a new starter fuse so it wouldn't have started for them anyway but can't tell if they tried. I had a scooter stolen a few years ago and when it was recovered I was told that as the steering lock had been burst, the whole thing was a write off as they could have damaged the chassis. So my question is, is that the same case with this bike Yamaha YBR 125 Custom? I hadn't been riding …
