Hi, I've found a brand new Yamaha TZR 50, the cheapest insurance was off a motorbike comparison website. I was quoted £350 third party fire and theft and I wondered if anyone knew where I could get it any cheaper? Any help would be appreciated.

Hay all. I bought an XJ 750 SECA and I am having trouble finding insurers that will insure it, being a US model. I found 2, but would like some more to get more quotes from. Got any sugestions on insurers that will insure it? Cheers. I should add that I am in the UK.

Hi there all! New to this forum, just passed my cbt last week, always loved bikes but conceded to the practicality of a car at 17. Im now 21 and trying to get insurance on a 2007 ybr, only second driver as my dads also using it as a runaround but no one wants to let me get on the roads for under £370 TPFT!!!!! For a bike that barely reaches 60 am i in a dream world or is that price realistic? Any advice from you more experienced bikers on good companies that you can negotiate down or are cheep for my age/experience group would be highly appreciated! Thanks guys CJ

Evening all As you probably know I'm hoping to get myself an XVS650a when i turn 17 and have been horribly worried about the insurance seeing as i'm so "young". I had a look around in google for "yamaha bike insurance" and filled out a quote form with accurate details, and got results from £550 to about £3000, was wondering if anyone knows any reasons for this and also if they can recommend anyone cheaper, I've got 1 year's no claims and have held my full UK license for 0years and negative two months SO EXCITED about my new bike. My insurance expires next month and my renewal quote from MCE is £200 up this year. When I looked on the comparison websites, MCE come in at around £100 cheaper than my renewal quote. Is this a common thing? In another note, I would like to ask what you think... My insurance was £650 last year with 2 yrs NCB. In March a van reversed into me at traffic lights and this claim was paid by third party's insurance. But when it came to renew, my renewal quote is £850 with 3 yrs NCB...??? hey guys jonny here, i got bored today and was looking at upgrading my top end barrel and piston from 50-90cc and was just wondering what a rough price would be added to my insurance, atm im paying arround £300, how much would be added roughly?

Is there any way of getting my XJ550 fully faired? The larger XJs have a fuller fairing, so can I interchange them? I know I can get the replacements from Google shopping, but will they fit?! Thanks

i just purchased a beaten or dropped 96 yzf 600 and i was wondering what parts may be interchangeable from the different years of yzf's. the 90's yzfs appear to be very similar. especially the tanks and body work. i have some cracked body panels that i want to replace or fix. any ideas?
