Hi all, Maybe i should have started here. New to all this. Got my first bike (an old one -ct175) and having fun learning about bikes and this one in particular. Even gone as far as getting my learners permit. Boy that was fun. Even being laughed at my kids less than half my age..... Well hope it wont taketoo long to get this running and take it on a trail bike ride. Might even get it registered for the road. Watch this space

Hi to everyone, has anybody out there had any experience with fitting hid kits.I currently have a s2 fazer on a 57 plate and as a few have mentioned i find the dipped/daylight lamp not that brill.I didn't want to wire up the other side as a few have done,so i've tried different all singing bulbs but all are pretty much the same.I like the idea of the hid retro fit kits, So question is; are they any good. And as a newbie to all this modern kit do they pose any probs to the bike electrics. Many thanks for any help.

I know its not very exciting but after having to take my exhausts off I figured i'd give em the usual blast of black to smarten them up. Well I noticed some quite substantial rust bubbles in the paint so decided to knock it back to get rid and give a good key. Jesus it took over an hour to clear the rust, all the hot spots had rust forming UNDER the paint. Each little bubble would show an area the size of a fag packet that needed treating and the front of the exhaust is completely stripped back to the front of the expansion chamber. The steel must be truly fkin awful quality. I went from cleaning a couple of blisters on the swan neck to practically stripping i…

Hi folks just joined and though that I would spread the word about winter riding, . . . . wet roads and DIESEL do not mix, in case you did not know!!!! Managed to high side my Divi at fairly low speed on some diesel left by taxi cabs turning at a rank. Luckily only bent tha bars and smashed an indicator, main cost was a new helmet, as the last thing I saw was the roof of a parked car before hitting the street. . . . . . . live and learn.. live and learn.

  12. Started by Draggie,

Hi all, Some advice would be very useful. I have an XVS650 Dragstar. It's got Highway Hawk slash cut pipes, that were on it when I bought it. The dealer put a 12 month MOT on the bike, wich came with an advisory "loud pipes". They are extremely loud!!! I cannot afford replacement pipes at the present. They do have the Highway Hawk baffles fitted (by the slash cut). Although I am essentially quite happy with the loud pipes, I do get a tad embarrased at times, and concerned that the boys in blue won't be impressed. Query, does any one know if I pack fibre glass packing around the perforated baffles, will this lower the sound? Any other ideas?? Thanks …

  19. Greetings from NZ Am a new boy here but do the forum bit all over the world most around the TZ's I own. They are: 1) A schmick TZ750 Twinshock in KR yellow black colour scheme 2) A McIntosh TZ350F that I race hee in NZ and Australia. 3) A rev cylinder TZ250U Plus have also just bought a very tidy OW01 which I kid you not is the first 4 stroke streetbike I have owned since a CB100 Honda. Have had various other street bikes at various times but most just do the post classic race stuff these days. The other street bikes I have owned being an RD350B, RD350LC, TZR250, RZ500. TZ's of 54mm stroke and pre 1980 or so are very much a speciality in the house with…
