Hey All, New member. I'm trying to get tyres shipped down here. Anyone know any dealers sellers that ship here? I'm originally from US but here for a year. I couldn't find any sellers in US that carry them to have it shipped from there locally? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance. I heard the Sporty's are the best bet? Again pretty much need to know how to get tyres shipped down here LOL.

Anyone from round these parts on here? none of my friends ride bikes, (one does but has an issue with bike theft that follows him around) and need someone with common interest as to not irritate with bike passion!!

I have been working on a 1975 350-RD for a few months or so, and I am looking for the PROPER manual to help with my restoration. I've been farming Ebay and have picked up something that helps with a lot of the questions. But it just seems to be lacking in information.(Haynes service repair maintenance hand book) I shows the basic info....diagrams/ black and white photo's...but the items it doesn't show, battery box/air box....tool box, are pretty important. I've looked on line, but you can't flip through the pages of an online book, so your not sure of what you are getting...and all of my brick and mortar stores don't have a selection of cycle books..... Hi everyone. When I first start the bike in neutral and put it into gear the bike stalls( clutch is in and so is the kick stand). I first thought it was the kick stand switch not working properly--I had that cleaned off and looked at seemed fine. Still I experience this problem and I am not sure what it is. I'm not sure if it's a clutch issue or something else. When its warmed up after riding I can put it into gear just fine. Another issue I've noticed is when I'm downshifting the bike will have a hard time going into first, it sometimes will get stuck in neutral and I'll have a hard time getting it back into first. Now then, here's a problem I am really stuck on. My 2002 xjr was Ok one day but the next started to run very rough. I checked the plugs and I found that No. 1 plug was black with carbon so I changed the plug but this did not make any difference. I put a new set of plug caps on. Again no difference. The spark wasn't bad but there was the possibility of a damaged HT lead. However the HT's from the coil are fixed I so couldn't just change them and had to buy a new coil. Hmm, lovely spark but still no difference. OK, strip the carbs and have a look. HORROR!! Hi, I took my bike out for a long ride to Kilburn on the weekend, everything was running fine. On the return journey it started to loose power at low revs and I would have to keep pumping the throttle to keep her alive! I made it home and stopped off at the shop, when I came to start the bike it wouldn't kick over unless on choke, the engine was easily warm enough. Eventually after kicking it up for about 10mins it started but I needed to keep pumping throttle as before. I checked the spark plug and a bit of smoke came from the hole in the top of engine. Plug was black, changed it, made no difference, checked air filter and carb, both ok. I've now run out of ideas as im…

hello again chaps n chapesses ive just fitted a new pair of sprockets an a new chain. When im riding in the lower gears and the power band kicks in it feels like something is slipping, the bike judders well more the back wheel. ive double checked and everything is tightened back wheel front sprocket etc. The chain is tight/loose enough i think. Any ideas what it might be? Thanks in advance

Oh well, thought i'd sorted my flooding issue but alas the carbs have got to come off. Its a complete arse of a job almost as bad as a TDM. Pipes galore and you have to take half the bike to bits to boot, tank, seat, exhausts, rad, all bodywork. All for a little bit of crap stuck in the float. Gutted.

Hi, I'm looking for a top box/case for my XJ6, I already have the rack, but I don't really want to pay yamaha prices for a box as it won't get used very often. Just been doing my oil change on the Divvy and the one thing I've noticed is masses of piting on the oil filter and general crap in behind the pipes. Are fender extenders worth it? Not the prettiest of mods, relatively easy to fit and not too expensive. Thoughts? Cheers! C.

Hi all I was wondering what mods could be done to a bike (in my case an XVS 125) to increase its visibility? i.e, make it less likely that other drivers do not see it by by night and/or day. Please no "paint it fluorescent pink", "add huge laser beams..." jokes. I'm thinking mainly of spotlights (shame neon lights are not legal), cool looking reflectors and such.

Hi all I've had a car driving license for 30 years and, after having purchased an XVS125, I'm after getting the bike one. Considering my two-wheels experience consists of riding mopeds when I was a teenager (I'm 48) and, once in a while, 50cc scooters since, what in your opinion is the best way to go about it? 1) CBT, getting some road experience, taking a few lessons at a later date then going for the DAS. 2) Getting a 4/5 days training package that includes CBT+DAS (+ test booking etc...). New to this board (from Florida, USA), not new to motorcycles, but this has me stumped!! Just acquired what is supposed to be a 1982 Maxim 400. I've searched across the 'net and found pics and specs for a 1982 xs400 Maxim and they don't look anything at all like what I have. I found pics of a 1984 Maxim that looks exactly like what I have? The title shows the bike as a 1982. My question is: are there any rescources available that show the interpretation of the VIN number as to year manufactured, model, etc. I also have an xj650 Seca and I have a VIN reference for the XJ bikes. I've checked several Yamaha sites and can't even find "Maxim" listed as a Model. Any h…
