I dont find myself pretentious enough or even have enough spare cash to have a 'cherished' number plate, each to their own though, however I think that some thought should be put into buying one, I've seen plates like B19 ED1E (big Eddie I presume) then watched as some wee 5'8" nyaff steps out of the car, here are another couple of examples from my locale that make me LOL, and no these are not made up ! T4 JUR, from a short distance this looks like TAJUR (the Scots equivelant of TODGER !) D14 REA, (Diahorrea?)

So, that's the posting over - they are all out and in the system - it's up to Mr. Postie now for the delivery. If you think I should have sent you one, and might have forgotten, or would like to request one for the first time, please get in touch. There are some great shots of Peter Day's beautifully prepared FZR400RRSP - all photos were online this year for a public vote - and the FZR features quite a lot. We know it's the credit crunch, and difficult for everyone - but any donations, no matter how small, towards p&p&p (production, postage, packing) are most gratefully recieved - and thanks go out to those who have contributed already. Calendar reques…

I'm not sure what the weather is like in your part of the world, but I think the end of this part of the world is almost here.... so far yesterday ; Keswick was cut off, apart from the Penrith approach. The reality of this is that West Cumbria is only acessable from the south! Sellafield Nuclear site has sent non-escential staff home as a result of torrential rainfall and high winds, We had 15 servere flood warnings in place for north cumbria, 14 Flood Watches, Carlisle public park (a big field thing in the middle of town) was under water, as was the Golf course (no loss there then) an may outlying fields, Keswick was only dry as a result of …

Different Terror Threat Levels Around The World The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats and have raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies all but ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to a "Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588 when threatened by the Spanish Armada. The Scots raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards" They don't have any o…

I have a new R1 (2009) with crossplane - love it - what a machine. However when I start her up she has developed a rattle or series of knocks (guess between 2 and 5 rattles before she settles down)and it is getting worse (slightly). Looks to me like there might be problem in the design/lubrication system. The noise is a dry running 'tappety' sound - like a marble rattling at extreme speed. Anyone know anything about this. We've all been looking for it - a new release normally means the first owners are the trial guinea pigs - anyone else got the same problem? I have found one other mention on a US site: http://forum.motorcycle-usa.com/default.aspx?f=18&m=…

Can anybody tell me the proper rules on white lining? Having looked on the internet, the rules seem to vary according to which organisation posted it. I know undertakings a big no no, but what about when in slow moving traffic on the motorway - if your passing between the middle and outside lane, isnt that classed as undertaking?

Hello, and I am glad to be back, sold my TDM back in 2007, had two SV650S since and have just ordered a Lava Red XJ6S Diversion from our local Yamaha dealer, test rode it yesterday and now think the SV is a tractor!!! It all happened by accident, went to look at second hand bikes, one I had seen on their site had gone so was talking to the salesman who asked my budget and then informed me I could afford a new bike instead of a second hand one, so, after tormenting the missus, the deal was done, roll on Sunday and the Wirral Egg run the Sunday after (28th)!!!
