Hi there, I bought an open face helmet last week, and took the visor out - presumably its still "street legal?" as its not compromising the overall integrity of the helmet - supose its down to the failure modes of the helmet - i.e. i might have done myself a favour by removing it - for instance, if I were to crash, a shard of the visor could poke an eye, or even 2, or en a pair of eyes, and a piuerced throat (hmmm - I know - pessimistic, but it could happen...)... So tell me peeps, would I get pulled over for wearing my open face without the visor, and of course, with my terminator shades?!?!.. regards, -Mits-

Hello all, Just joined the site after purchasing my 2009 R6 last week. It should be ready for collection after they fit the alarm and R&G tail tidy (obligatory purchase). Then all I need to do is bed the motor in and i'll be ready for the summer. I'm dying to get other bits for the bike but fear a divorce will come after it took me 2 years to convince the wife that I NEEDED a brand new bike. Stay safe, Foxy

Greetings fellow members I new to this forum and furthermore the biking world. Will have had my licence a year in August (yey) so yes I am still green. I recently bought my second bike, its a 600R TCat. Its curently got 22.5k miles. I am informed that I can increase the lifespan of my engine by getting the engine re-built etc. Can someone please grace me with their experience and awesomeness and tell me what the average cost may be for a rebuild. When is a good time to consider getting one? What other kinds of things to consider when getting major work done to her? Obviously regular service oil filter etc..... Thought I'd drop in and say hello. Currently riding an FZS1000 Fazer and a 2002 YP250 Majesty scooter. Also considering buying an SRX400. Any comments on this, anyone? I fancy something a bit different and it seems to fit the bill, but I don't know much about them. Any advice greatly appreciated. Cheers TJ

Hey guys, New to the site, not new to motorcycles. Been riding since not long after I can walk probably, thanks to my parents owning a Yamaha dealership. I had a great child hood lol. I currently ride a 2007 R6, and previously had a 2000 R6. I also have my old man's 1976 Harely Davidson FLH, his first bike he ever owned. Good for those long rides. Just want to say hey, and keep the rubber side down. Travis
