Just like to say Hi from Sunny Southport (UK). I have just bought into the Yamaha Club with a 1999 Thunderace . I was a Triumph worshipper until my '96 Sprint's little ends went and basically the bike isn't worth repairing as the cost of parts is too high . Have been looking around at Thunderaces for a while now and finally found one. Needs a bit of work doing but easy bits not like the sprint! Whole different ride to the Sprint but I'll get used to it (needs a better seat!) Jobs to do: Fastener kit for panels and screen as some are missing/wrong ones Down pipes need replacing Brakes need overhaul Suspension needs to be softened!…

hello, new to the forum, had this r6 for a couple years, second gear has started to fail on me due to generall abuse, its popping in to neutral and making dirty noise ,, ive been told that getting a new engine for my 99 model r6 is the best thing to do, is this sound advice? and does any1 kow any where to get a decent low milage second hand engine and gear box, for around the 400 mark... thanks dan.

Hey people, just wanted opinions on helmets. My shark is now 5 years old and i can honestly say i absolutely detest the fking thing. Its heavy, massively noisy and has never really felt truly comfortable. So, as a result I'm finally looking for a replacement, couldn't give a f who its made by as that seems irrelevant to what you get, just adds price, comfortable and quiet really, heavy on quiet as i really can't seem to find ear plugs that are comfortable for any distance. Hi all, I'm thinking of investing into a gold iridium (spectra) visor for my black shoei helmet. Most websites state that it is not road legal but how strict is this law? Could I get away with it on sunny days? Temptation is huge!!

Hi Can any one help? I am new to bikes. I have a 1998 Fazer 600. It has run fine until now. Whilst driving home my Indicators, Brake light and Instrument panel packed up. My Speedometer and Tachometer have also given up. I have checked the fuses and they are fine. Can any one point me in the right direction? Thanks bill

Hi all Got a problem with my spyball alarm, need help Spyball Alarm 6527, with 2 key fob Went to my bike the other and the alarm/immobiliser wouldn't switch off with the key fob i was using, so i grabbed the other key fob and it worked first time. So when i was out i got new batteries for the other fob, installed the battery in the remote, ran through the key re-align info (hold big button down for 1sec then release then big button down again for a further 15secs and it should re-align), but guess what..... It never. So my Question is has anybody came accross this fault before? and/or does anybody have a fix for the problem? thanx.

Hi returned to my time on the bike after a few years away...kids..mortgage...etc and have bought a FZR 600 genesis it being my old fave from years ago, However, at low speeds sort of 10mph to 45-50 mph it grunts and slightly splutters like there is no power there but when I twist the throttle hard it jumps in to life and runs like a dream .. also runs well for top speeds and for many an hour, however even after a good days ride every time it drops down to 10-50 mph it stumbles and just does not feel right.. any ideas or am i just a paranoid rider?? Oh forgot to say i do not know a jot about engines/mechanics and all that..as you may well be guessing!!
