What are the normal operating temperatures for a 2000 r1? I was seeing 227 at idle and it was making me a bit nervous...

I recently bought a "running" roadstar. had to replace the main relay, the starter relay and tear apart and clean the carburetor. got it running great went to take it for a spin and it stalled when I put it first gear. whats up with it and how do I fix it without replacing the clutch. the bike has 3452 actual miles and was stored the last 2 years.

Had my dtr stolen from my girlfriends after leaving it in a locked parking zone over night. They came lifted over fence and pushed in half a mile through a field to steal it :(. was just going to nip home at about 10:30 instead i went and locked up and stayed! its in the middle of no where. im very sad was my first bike (or motor vehicle for that matter) and i know i wont find one like it again. i bought it for 950 and it was a wreck. fixed it up mint only just really got it running perfect after purchasing at the end of january. im round the midlands DY postcode area. Bike reg WX51 LXN with dep pipe otherwise just standard black. i know its lost though =[…

Help needed, I have a 2001 DTR French import with power valve servo fitted.......i have used the info from the web site but it won't go past 60mph or 7k rpm. I have taken out and taped up the red switch but it made no difference!. I have a full DEP system fitted...any ideas??

just bought an r6 2001 with a damaged frame, does anyone know where i can get or have a good clean straight frame for a 2001 r6 with v5 and no accident history, any help would be great

Hi all my first post here so hello to u all:) Ive had my bike 2 years now and i have my first problem with it, When im in 2nd gear and start to open bike up it feels like im missing a few teeth on my sprockets this only happens in 2nd gear so im thinking my gearbox is bust. Does anyone know how much a rebuild costs? or is it worth me trying to find a spare? any help would be great, summer is on the way and i want it sorting out:)

hi ive recently bought a 125 dt and am looking to buy some race parts for it. anyone have any advice where to buy parts? and whats the best things to buy for it? already got chunky tyres, sporty exhaust and about to put a bigger piston in. any help much appreciated. cheers mike

hi guys just started my r1 after being stored for a few months and the automatic choke is on full straight away and revs full,its never done this b4 and not sure if i should let it run to see if it slows down, or would this damage something? any help would be good

Hi, This morning I took my bike for a wash at my usual hand washer. He uses a jet washer as well, but he knows to be careful as the local bike mechanic taught him well... Anyways, I have taken my bike there many times before, but today when I rode home, I noticed that my oil light is on and it is staying on. Got home checked the oil level etc. All OK. Now I've heard that this is only a low oil level indicator light and not a low oil pressure indicator, but I would just like to make sure. I have to work tonight and I think it might just simply be that a bit of water made it's way to the wiring and that the light will go out once the bike had some time to sta…

Hi I have a 2003 R1. The bike has developed an odd electrical problem where the headlights do not work (tail-light works ok), the indicators are on permanently (but dimmer than normal) and the high beam indicator blue light is permanently on. Anyone else had this problem and know where to look to fix it. Thanks S

Hi Guy's. I felt some mild rubbing whilst on the way to the gym this morning, i know that the chains runs along a guard on top of the swing arm so just rode as normal. How ever, once i started to get closer to the gym it slowly started getting worse. I finished at the gym and made my way to work, it was now a serious rubbing and only got worse and worse until i got to work. Upon arrival i've noticed some metal filings on the swing arm and it seems the chain is rubbing on the inside of the rotation (so the bottom when the chain is making its way to the back sproket and the top when its making its way to the front sproket. Because of the covers etc i can't see…

I'm having trouble getting me brakes to bleed correctly. New master cylinder. They won't build up pressure. No apparent leaks. suggestions???

I have a 2003 v-star 1100 classic that is having trouble starting. It is acting like a bad battery. I replaced the battery and the problem has not changed. It even has trouble starting when hooked up to a charger. Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be the problem? I would greatly appreciate any advice.

Hi all Just hopefully about to become a proud R6 owner but would just like to ask a couple questions about a bike i have been looking at. Does anyone know much about 2004 models not being registered till April 06? I have the chance of buying a 06 plate 04 model one and just wanted to check before doing so. Also if i do buy it what year would i tell the insurance it is? If i do it online it just asks for year... I can put it as a 2004 and enter the reg plate which comes out at a decent price but if i register it as a 2006 its another £90.00!! Any help appriciated thanks

hi,peeps anyone out there bought the fiat moto gp fairings for a 2004 r6? i was thinking about buying some only i wondered what the quality was like.i am a paint sprayer so i could do it myself but cant be arsed at the price they go for.and i would still have my originals!
